Main quest question - no spoilers please

I never finished oblivion and the only other Bethesda titles I've played were the fallout series and they usually end in a way that's it's game over when you beat the game
With out spoiling the story is skyrim like that or can I keep going after the main quest

Just like in Oblivion there is Sidequests, just because you've beaten all of the 'Main quests' doesn't mean the game is finished, well sure the main story line is but there's so much more to do!

You can keep going after the main quest!

Just like the Energizer Bunny. Skyrim keeps going and going and going. And going and going and going. Really, even if you do the whole main quest and side ones there is still much to do. A little imagination goes a long way.

Cool thanks didn't know if there would be some valiant sacrifice as the final mission like fallout 3

Haha, none of that. Though if you have a certain DLC for Fallout 3, you actually survive that finale mission and keep going.
