Battn Mace

New Member
As I was playing Skyrim one day, I wanted to find a fun build to play with a challenging twist/whatever you wanna call it. Then it just hit me... I came up with the build called Macebreaker.

The Macebreaker, as its name implies, uses maces. These weapons are the slowest of the 1H weapons, but don't be fooled! They also have the highest base damage of the 1H weapons.

Recommended races;
Nord:
50% Frost resistance
Battle cry, which fears anyone in radius for 30 seconds once per day
10+ 2H (which will be useless for a 1H user) +5 Block, Light Armor, 1H, Smithing, Speech

Redguard:
50% Poison resistance
Adrenaline Rush, which makes Stamina regenerate 10x faster
10+ 1H (much better for Macebreaker) +5 Alteration, Archery, Block, Destruction, Smithing

Orsimer (Orc):
No resistances
Berserker Rage, which doubles your damage and reduces damage taken by half
+10 Heavy Armor (We'll be using light), +5 Enchanting, Block, 1H, Smithing, 2H
Additional Status; Bloodkin; You're allowed into any Orc settlement without being shunned.

Macebreaker build
The following skills that go with this build are...
Major:
1H
Light Armor
Minor:
Smithing, Enchanting/Alchemy

If you want to go the more defensive route, go Nord.
If you want a more offensive route. go Redguard.
If you want a mixture, go Orc.

Our main weapons (as the name implies) are maces. Previously stated, they are slow, but strong. We can improve the speed, however.
As you pump points into 1H, max out Dual Flurry and Dual Savagery. That's right, were gonna be dual wielding these badboys. Make sure to max out Bone Breaker to.

As for Light Armor, max that all out. Dual Wielding and Light Armor is a challenge, since you won't be soaking up as much damage as you would be wearing Heavy Armor. Plus, if you get Wind Walker and Matching Set, not only will you be generating 50% more stamina, you'll also have a 25% bonus to your armor if it's a matching set.
As for stats... Magicka/Health/Stamina... Go 0(Magicka)/60(Health)/40(Stamina)

As for the minor skills... Make sure you max out the Light Armor route of Smithing. Enchanting/Alchemy... Pick one. You'll need lots of health potions since you wear Light Armor, and maybe even poisons if you want to maximize your mace's potential. For enchanting, pump points into whatever route you want; Left for elemental enchants, middle for health/stamina/armor, or right for soul gems. Whatever you do though, make sure you have Extra Effect. It's extremely useful.

Recommended Weapons:
Mace of Molag Bal: Drains a whopping 25 points of Magicka and Stamina. Can be improved with Ebony Ingots. Has the highest base damage of any mace, but still tied with Dragonbone Mace.
Dragonebone Mace: Has highest base damage, tied with Mace of Molag Bal. Thing about Dragonebone however, you can enchant this one, unlike Molag Bal's.

Recommended Shouts:
Elemental Fury: Makes your slow mace strikes even faster, plus if you have Dual Flurry and Dual Savagery, you'll be killing your enemies easily.
Marked for Death: Decrease your enemie's armor and health, plus if you have Bone Breaker maxed (which ignores an enemies armor by 75%), you'll be killing like it's a hobby.

Thanks for reading! Enjoy your new Macebreaker!
