GM-Approved Sub-Events will be listed here.

Please see a GM if you wish to participate in or have an idea for a Sub-Event.

    Important things to note:

-Sub-Events may include ONE or MORE player characters as 'main' participants.
-Sub-Events MUST include roles for remaining willing party members as 'minor' participants.
-The above rule does not apply if/when the party has been split at the time of the sub-event.
-Players are not required to join a sub-event if they do not wish to.
-Sub-events are entirely optional events that occur during the same general time-line of Into The Dark main events.
-Romance-related Sub-Events do not require roles for additional party members.

If you feel you have a Sub-Event that does not require additional roles, please inform a GM and we will make a decision based on the events description.
This is done mainly to ensure that any large-scale events have given an equal opportunity for other players to be involved.

    Faerie Queen
    Inside of Madness
Sub-Event Main Participants: Alice, Winter, Lilumae
Sub-event NPC Participants: Sheogorath, Molag-bal, Cilla, Sera, OPEN
Sub-event Minor Participants: Simus, Baroth, Kharraz, Stephan, Annalisse, OPEN

    Event Description:
After witnessing her sister Cilla become pawn to Sera’s will, and her father Simus become trapped on enemy lines, Alice finds herself descending into visions of madness.

Wishing to snap Alice out of it, Winter leads those who would aid Alice to the college of Winterhold, per Lilumae’s request, believing them to be able to assist their friend in her recovery.

Once there, the group finds that curing Alice is not as easy as it seems, as not even the best illusionists or priests can lure Alice back into a place of sanity.

Desperate for answers, Lilumae scours the tower Library, eventually discovering a dangerous and forbidden method of entering ones mind.

While Lilumae researches these options, the coven decides to launch an assault on the College, hoping to kidnap the defenseless Alice and break her to suit their will, molding her as a weapon against her allies.

With no other option left, Lilumae and Winter go against the College’s orders and descend into the chaos inside Alice, finding that their friend has been lured into the affairs of none other than Sheogorath and Molag Bal. Meanwhile, the remaining party members must defend the tower against the Coven, hoping to buy Lilumae and Winter enough time.

Will the team be able to hold the line? Will Winter and Lilumae be able to save Alice? Or will they too lose themselves inside of madness?

    Role for Interested Participants:
Players may either be a part of the group defending the Winterhold College against the coven attack, OR, they may be a part of the group trapped with Simus.

    Those curing Alice: (3/3)
    Winter
    Lilumae
    Kharraz

    Those with College(0/):

    Those trapped with Simus (2/4)

    Faerie Queen
    A Dance with Demons
    Sub-Event Main Participants: Winter, Severus
    Sub-event NPC Participants: Roanne
Sub-event Minor Participants: None, these events occur over a long period of time, culminating at a point where the party has split.

Event Description: Winter has spent many years searching for the vampire(s) responsible for the destruction of her village and the death of her sister. Severus had suffered a similar fate, losing his entire village to the flames set by Stormcloaks, before being turned into a vampire of the Bloodlet Throne.

The two share an uneasy alliance while they fight a common enemy but soon enter a hesitant friendship when the truth of their histories share a similar tale. Both are far too familiar with the loss of loved ones by the fires of those who despise them, a tragedy difficult to not draw kinship from afterwards.

That alliance is tested however when Winter admits more information about her background, revealing the name of the man she seeks. Roanne. A vampire.
A name familiar to Severus. The name of a vampire allied with the Bloodlet Throne.

Will Severus forsake his friendship with Winter, a woman whose scars match his own, to protect a Vampire of his coven that he otherwise knows nothing about? Will he forsake his Honor and allegiance to the Bloodlet Throne to reveal the whereabouts of a fellow kin?

And if he should choose silence, taking neither path, what will Winter do when she learns the truth of the matter?

(I feel like I just wrote the premise for a supernatural romance novel. XD :ashstab: o_O)

    Faerie Queen
    Visions of Regret

Sub-Event Main Participants: Lilumae, Senya, Lily, Bryce, Erebus, Isabella
    Sub-Event NPC Participants: Aisling, Felix
    Sub-Event Minor Participants: OPEN

Event Description: Rumored to be a possible coven hide-out, party members investigate an old run-down manor. Thought to be abandoned, the inside of the decrepit and dilapidated home suggests a recent string of prior occupants, as evidenced by means of half-full goblets and unspoiled foodstuffs.
Yet room to room, not a single soul can be found. Perhaps the coven was spooked by its own shadow and left the manor before having a chance to get properly settled in?

Notebook scraps and newspaper clippings strewn throughout its floors hint at the manors dark and foreboding history; A tale of mystery and deceit that lead to murder and madness. Ghost stories abound of the souls that linger behind, repeating the nights of their deaths over again, stuck in the eternal quagmire. But those are just stories... aren't they?

Eerie whispers and creaking footsteps greet the party at every turn. Is it just the settling of an old house? Or is there something to be said for a place that even the dead won't linger in?

Role for Interested Participants: As this sub-event will function much like a haunted house run, it will probably include a few riddles, hints at creepy backstory and maybe even reveal a detail or two about the main plot, if you look hard enough.
That in mind, interested parties will have the role of makeshift investigators. The main goal of the party is to search the house and find out where the Coven members have moved onto next... but the real question is, why did they leave so soon? There couldn't possibly be any ghosts around... could there be? ;)

(If possible, I'd like to start this plot up shortly before Halloween, as that's really the ideal time for it.)
