How do you backstab a Dragon?
Born in the Imperial City and raised in the Temple District, Ingin's parents, a wealthy merchant, Rolf Thorn and his wife Laressa had always dreamed of having children. As they reached their fourth decade, it seemed they would never see that dreamed fulfilled until the day that Laressa felt the first kick of the daughter she would come to name Ingin. Ingin was a strange child. Things happened when she was about, lights would suddenly flare in to life or go dark; strange sounds and scitterings would be heard at all hours; more than once the servants would come to their mistress in fear of some strange happening.
It became clear that Ingin was not like other children, nay, other children feared and avoided her. By the time she reached her maturity, they knew they must do something. Given his close ties with the University, Rolf approached his friend, a doyen of the Arcane body, named Allana-Chi, a dunmer of some known magicka herself. She agreed to interview Ingin and was surprised at the natural abilities that the girl displayed. Without delay, she advised her friend and his hesitant spouse that it would, perhaps, be wise if their daughter enrolled in the University, to give her some focus to her obvious talents.
Ingin enjoyed her time at the University, but found herself in constant trouble. She so far outshown her fellow students and had such dark thoughts that she became somewhat of an enigma, yet again isolated from all she knew. Fortunately she had the ear of Allana-Chi. Her mentor suggested to she and her parents that, perhaps she should think about returning to the homeland of her father, to the care of her friend, the Arch Mage Savos Aren, at the College of Winterhold, a place reknown for it's teachings, knowledge and the pursuit and training of the odd.
It was agreed that she would set out for the College and so her adventures began.
