Okay, first of all hi, my name is Jesse and this will be my first post.

Second of all this post will have several, some longer than others or some requiring dlc, ways to make money easy and reliably in skyrim..

    Method One

To the north-west of whiterun is an iron mine called the halted stream camp represented by a teepee on your compass/map, travel there and defeat all the bandits, on the chiefs table inside the mine is a spell tome called transmute, what it does is "transmute" iron ore to silver ore and silver ore to gold ore, after which you find a pickaxe (2 can be found within the mine) and mine all of the iron ore deposits you can find (should total around 30), afterwards (this is the time consuming part) use the transmute until you are out of magicka and then if you have high regeneration, wait until it fills back up, if not, then you wait one hour and it will fill up, repeat as much as you like but once you get all the gold ore you like, find a smelter (easiest and first you find is in whiterun at Adrianne's forge just inside the gate) and melt down all your ore into ingots 2 ore per one ingot, the go to the forge and smelt it into 2 gold rings per ingot, if you have waterbreathing available to disenchant or enchant you can multiply your money made by a multiple of 100 by using petty soul gems to enchant your rings with waterbreathing, after which, sell your rings, you can buy iron ore for 3 gold from any smith usually, even at the lowest speechcraft levels, and sell for 24. Well thats ab i for method 1, read on for other methods i find along my journeys. To maximize base profit overall, exploit the riften black-briar meadery's host glitch and ask him to tell you ab maven black-briar and do persuade once your at speechcraft level 25 and bribe until that point.

I haven't begun the main quest or side quests. I now have 11+thousand septims from literally working my way up the ladder of success. I first started by gathering wood, selling it, hunting and gathering, selling that, smiting, making my own clothing and armor/weapons. After being able to make exquisite armor/weapons, i made a living from that. Then, i built my own home and settled down while doing some bounties. After 3 weeks of passing time in skyrim's time, i could then hone my character's true attributes-being an assassin. It's truly rewarding this way as opposed to jumping into the game and trying to rush it. I suppose you can take many jobs such as chopping wood, mining, smiting, clothing, hunting, bounty hunting etc.

i've had the most fun with alchemy... smithing was my stand-by for most of my builds, but i wanted to switch it up.. so i tried alchemy and the rewards are somewhat more realistic compared to enchanting with banish, etc. just slept better at night knowing i didnt make 100,000 gold in one day at the smithy... alchemist is fun...

I enjoy alchemy as well and try to refrain from magic/enchanting for practicality purposes

yeah it is pretty fun to actually make money the the ways the game intended. but the enchanting ''glitches'' are sometimes fun too, just depends on what you want to get out of the game. i had a character where i wanted to get 1,000,000 dollars, just to see if i could. i did, he was my imperial master trader. didnt even do any of the main quest, just bought low, sold high, and sold a plops load of iron daggers enchanted with banish. :vomit: i know, sick right? but for what i wanted to do, mission accomplished. the build quickly became boring, however, as you could imagine. so lonely at the top. stupid imperials and their lust for gold.

Depending on the mod used-yes. Other than that, it's armor based on what you can and cannot "create"

First, Welcome to the Forums. And I love finding simple ways of making money. One of the ways I like to use on new characters is cutting wood in Riverwood. Just pick up an axe and start chopping, and Hod pays you pretty well for the fire wood. "Honest pay for honest work." Thanks For Sharing :)

    And I calculated that method^.

It takes roughly 30 seconds to do a full round of wood (6 per), So that's 12 a minute.
12 a minute means 60 coins a minute and multiply that by 60 minutes and you have about 3,600 coins and hour. I think this is correct.

Being a thief. Its honest work because it takes time. Hey, the only real way to make a lot of money is by hurting/screwing someone else over. Just look at politicians. Or the Thalmor...
