How to complete TG quest without using Nightingale armor

So I found that toward the end of the TG questline when you get the Nightingale armor, they make you put it on. Problem is my OP armor is WAY better and I really don't want to lose the 9000 health bonus. Is there a way to keep the NG armor without using it to advance the quest toward completion?

I thought you were forced by Karlieh to put on the armor to complete the quest? Anyways, I will probably craft a super powerful ring and amulet with 9000+ health and carry weight so I can still use the NG armor without getting one shotted.
