After completing the thieves guild quest line, for each major city except riften that you restore the guild's influence (whiterun, windhelm, solitude, and markarth) the guild fences' available gold will increase. There are three guild fences in skyrim, tonilia in the ragged flagon, and when you do 5 jobs in markarth, and complete the silver lining quest, endon will fence for your character. The third guild fence you can acquire is a dunmer merchant woman in windhelm (I forgot her name). You acquire her after completing 5 jobs in windhelm and completing the summerset shadows quest. If your speech skill is maxed out and if you have the master trader perk, and after completely restoring the guild's influence to all major cities and becoming the guild master, the available gold of the three guild fences will be 5000.
