THIS GUIDE IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT
Key = Vanilla means original.
This is for making the vanilla game look nice and a lot better without using ENB's even having no major performance or FPS (Frame rate per second) even to weaker machines.
The reason you could use this guide is because either
  • Your machine is weaker than others
  • Just a quick guide, incase you want find these popular mods for enhancing your game
  • You wanted to improve the vanilla game or mabye theres something you dont like in the vanilla game.
An example is Barrels HD.jpg
Or if you watch Gophersvids, you can see a clear difference. Make sure it is 1080p Full screen.
The two essential mods you need will change the weather, the lightning ect ect beautifully with no fps drop are, you just need nexus mod manager
  • Climates of Tamriel
  • Realistic Lightning overhaul
If you want to know what they do, just type them on youtube and you will get a detailed review especially from Gophersvids.
Next you want Dynavision which makes your game like a camera (note you will need SKSE and MCM)

Imaginator will allow you to change how the game actually looks like the saturation or contrast (optional in my opinion)
P
ure waters - changes the water into a more natural and realistic look, (make sure you get the main file, dwaunguard and dragonborn in nexus but in order, simple as that)

IMPORTANT -- you will need static mesh improvements (high recommend this) which makes everything better, when you use nexus mod manger, you will get the option to tweak your settings, i recommend this so you can choose what you want (Weaker machines should not select use the highest of everything imo and don't select every option and make sure you read what the mod description says for each mod you select,) It might be a good note to go to the actual mod website and look at the images they show

Enhanced distance terrain and trees makes the distance of terrain better!

Finally use enhanced lights and fx.
And now your done, I might edit this thread to make it better and detailed.

If weaker machines are lagging a bit, tweak your setting either in Skyrim launcher or determine how much your power your pc is using for example Power saver, Balanced and Highest
If you dont want to read and see the actual installation than watch these vids.

If you want to cheat a little bit, go to skyrim launcher, you can turn the anti aliasing off and FXAA on (FXAA makes textures softer and sharper in short)

It's a good idea for a topic, but it is lacking.

You should format the topic better, add spacing in between the mods so it is easier to read, and add link to the mods so people don't have to find them.

There are also other ways of optimizing performance by using a couple tools (like optimize textures) or tweaking the game's INI settings (AMD / NVIDIA).

There are also a few other mods that can help like:

Skyrim Performance Plus
Which changes the quality of a few things that a person would never actually notice, except in terms of performance gain

or

Grass on Steroids
This combines an INI tweak with a retexture on grass which actually makes it look better, but at a gain in performance

Edit:

It looks like you are working on the formatting, but use the preview button, also use embedded link as it looks much better.
