Roleplaying is when you write a story with other people. You post, then others will, then you again, and so forth. Always take into account what other people post.
You apply to the OCC Thread of the rolplay you want to join. To do so, make a character card, which describes everything other people need to know about your character (make sure to include things such as personality and backstory). You must wait for the head of Roleplay to approve your card before you can post in the active thread.
Alternarively, go on the 'Open Rp- Tavern and Inn' section of the roleplaying forum, where you need not apply to stories and can post immediatly.
Unless otherwise specified in the rules, do not make your character Overpowered (i.e. Full Daedric armour, master level destruction spells and a Dragonbone sword of the Inferno). Try and imagine your character as if they were around level 10-15 in-game. Even then, be realistic. Most of the other rules can be found in the OCC threads original post, just underneath the plot. Other recurring rules include no scripting (controlling other people's characters) and remaining active (posting once at least every day/week/fortnight).
Have fun as well. Dont get weighed down by joining too many roleplays. Start with 1, and move onto 2 or even 3 if you feel like you can balance them all. If you join too many and cannot post frequently enough for each one, thats not fair to the other writers in the story. If you know you will be absent for a while, let the others know in the OCC thread so that they dont feel obligated to kick you from the story.
This seems complicated, but you will get used to it, and its worth it. Hoping to see you in some future story,
