Deceiving the herd problem

Im having a problem getting away with the 'Deceiving the Herd' quest. Im trying to kill someone in Windhelm( I chose Viola Giordano as a high profile person to murder). The problem is getting away. I cant. lol How do I kill her publically without getting caught?

Just run away after you've killed her. Illusion magic like invisibility helps, but isn't necessary. Just run.

Do it sneakilly. You have to pick your moment, preferably in sneak mode when your crosshairs are _._ and not in the shape of an eyeball.

But if I run from the guards, wont I be arrested when I return to the city?

Possibly. You could also pay the fine, which will be 1000 gold. That's not a huge amount. If your speech skill his high enough, you can talk your way out of it. If you're in good standing with the thieves guild, you can pay the guard off at a lower rate.
