This is my first time playing an elder scrolls game so please bare with me. I am a fully spec'd destro mage right now (only level 12) and I had a question about armor. I want to enchant my own armor, and it seems the same enchantments can be applied to any type of armor as long as its the same body part (same enchantments for leather bracers, cloth gloves, etc.). So to this I ask, why wear anything but plate armor?

Lighter armor weighs less, is alot quieter (for sneaking) and you are more agile with it (can move faster).
