Bust of Liathasa problem...

I've heisted the bust of Liathasa and confirmed it's in my possession but when I take it to Myvryna's cupboard I'm unable to place it. It says I'm unable to remove quest items from my inventory.

I repeated this quest three times with no success. I got tired of trying to pick Myvryna's lock so I picked the key off from her before doing the quest the 3rd time. It made no difference. At this point I've moved on which will make it difficult to reenact. I suppose I could get arrested and see how things go then.

Funny. I got arrested and they still didn't remove the bust from my inventory.
The answer, of course, is that I fell for the we-put-more-than-one-cupboard-in-there-just-to-mess-with-you trick. That's just wrong.
