Im interested i would want to see people's opinion on weapons that are to good or should be used
If allowed to do this, I would probably just write about my experiences in the game. Maybe reviews of certain quests, or maybe even mod reviews
Well, this is a little like stepping into a Tavern/Inn in Skyrim. One reason I am here is because when I first came to North California in 1994 I knew no-body, except my family. A small group in a rather humongous continent. I'm from the UK, so I'm drawn to medieval-ish RP games and Bethesda games suited me to the ground. I've played every Elder Scrolls game from Arena until Elder Scrolls On-Line which I don't play because $15.00 a month is beyond my means and I object to it....'cos I'd get addicted (possibly). Although I might have the time ( all my children are grown-up) ...I object to paying that to play and I'm a terrible on-line player, since I have no sense of direction. In short, I'm crap. ;> However, I love writing and would hope to do so much more. I'm 57, have had 5 children ( 4 remaining) and used to write on text RP games, so I enjoy character making etc.
I would like to post a complete character guide, I have already written it and would like it to be on this forum.
I'd like to participate, I've always been proud of my writing but my English may have some flaws though
I'd like to join in. I'd post topics every day, fun topics, discussion topics, build guides... I think I could do a pretty good job.
Never once in my several years at SF (through various accounts) have I considered writing for the forums. I do a lot with characters and pay close attention to specific lore, since that is the one thing that Bethesda has been very vague on. I'm told that I have skill in writing; seeing as I'm been accepted into the selective Creative Writing program at my college, I doubt that's false. If anything, I'd probably be better at mentoring others when it comes to character creation and development, and plot development.
I doubt that this has much to do with what you guys are looking for (on this thread), but I thought I'd take a peek and consider it. Perhaps that mentoring idea is what I should be doing.
I been trying to think of what to actually write about. Blah. Writer's block.
I'd like to have a shot at writing about ideas which could improve game quality, immersion wise as well as general annoyances or things that need some Nexus mods on
Hello, Onyx Black, and a slightly late welcome to the forum.
I would be happy to have you writing articles for us, and I apologize for the lateness of the reply. We are definitely interested in seeing your perspective here.
I will add you to our writer's group as soon as I can, if you're still interested in contributing.
I would love to see this character guide. I'm still working out access to permissions, at the moment, but I would like you to PM me the guide as you have it now, so I can review it. If you're still interested in having it posted here.
Sorry for the lateness of the reply. The very, very lateness.
Again, apologies for the lateness of the reply.
I think we could definitely find space for what you can provide, if you're still willing and able to provide it. The greatest service may even be acting as editor when articles come in, to ensure they're of a quality that keeps people engaged and interested.
Please let me know if you would still be interested in offering your services.
Okay, thank you for replying nonetheless. I can probably post about anything you'd want me to (provided that there's a small run down of the things required).
Recently, I had wanted to begin a series of articles discussing mods. For many people the continuing draw and allure of Skyrim is how much you can add to the game through mods, but there are always new people exploring them for the first time who have no idea where to start. I wanted to put together a list of the mods I felt were the best options for expanding the game content, as well as exploring those individual mods, complete with installation, load order conflicts, and troubleshooting guide.
I also wanted to test various mods others have asked about -- check for incompatibilities, load order conflicts, quality of content, etc.-- and do head-to-head comparisons between similar mods to help people choose which is more what they're looking for.
Sadly, my computer is now unable to play Skyrim in any way that would allow me to test or explore what I would need to write my articles, so if there's anything in the above that piques your interest, I'd love to unleash you on it and see what happens.
Otherwise, I think we can brainstorm a few ideas here.
I could probably write about mods once I have my new computer made. No idea when that will be though.
In the mean time... I have nothing to contribute really at the moment. But I will soon enough lol
Dabs, hurry! You needz to conquer the world!
As for this, I could help with idea generating and some proof reading (as far as spotting typos and such goes), but I do not believe I'll have the time to post regularly nor the skill to undertake a front page project...
I'd definitely be interesting in discussing mods for newcomers, especially for newcomers(I myself play without mods if I can help it, though I'm looking for a John Cena mod myself, don't ask).
Anyway - if there's a mod or set of mods you would want me to talk about, write them down somewhere and I can probably find the time for them.
Keep in mind that schedules are hard for me to follow as I have 3 other accounts on other sites which I need to check daily, else I'll be left without much to do. Content wise I can't draw or sculpt, so writing is my thing when it has to be. I'm also surprisingly chill when I write. Which is ironic had you known me personally(social anxiety and all that).
College has rendered me unexpectedly busy, so I'm not sure I can help as I'd like to. I'll still be on the forums.
This may be moot, being that I am just finding the game and the message boards--four years later! However, I have recently picked up the game and I simply love it. Essentially, for the past four years, my three kids had played the game, and now since they have finished it, I can actually sit-down with it. If you guys are still looking for article writers, I would love to participate. Of course if the time has passed, and writers are no longer needed, then no sweat. Simply let me know.
We are always looking for new writers and new content. ^__^ Welcome to the forums, and Skyrim. I'm very glad you're enjoying it, as, even four years down the road, we're all still having a lot of fun with it, ourselves.
Do you have any ideas for articles, or things you'd like to explore?
