Atronach Forge Not Working?

Works perfectly now thanks. So I don't need to uninstall update. I just started playing again and it worked.

There is an easy solution to this.
You will need the following:

-Soul Gem (filled) x1 (any soul gem)

-Void Salts x1

-Daedra heart x1

-Ebony Ingot x1

What to do:
1. Go to Atronach Forge
2. Save you game in front of it
3. Put the items listed above in the offering box
4. Pull the lever
5. Take boots (if not boots reload save and do steps 3 and 4 again)

(Boots will have an enchantment so lucky you)

Yes, I realize this is two years old, but I found another reason this might happen. There is no write up on any wiki or anything so, here is this submission:

For some reason the game will not recognize certain greater soul gems that you fill yourself. I am unsure of why, or whether there are only a few "greater" creature spawns that do this. (I came across this bug, specifically, by capturing the soul of the Wispmother by Winterhold.) This greater soul gem would not be accepted as an offering, though, another in my inventory was.
