Arena Any Arena Veterans Out There?

I just obtained all the games, and while I've played all of the others at least some, I have no idea at all what to expect here. So I'm looking for a little input and advice for a first play through the game. Not looking for a "how to be stupidly powerful" guide, just little things I should know before I get ripped into 30 different pieces repeatedly.

Lots of useful guides there, including a handy "General Hints" guide.

I haven't played much of Arena. I've gotten out of the first dungeon, but that's about it. I like Daggerfall a lot more.
