Aela the undead

Good day All

I have found something strange with one of the companion followers and i wanne know is this the case with all of the companions.

I was doing a random dungeon with Aela the huntress as my companion and she died , so i took my armor and was on my merry way took my housecarl from margath as my new follower and did a few other qeusts , then to my amazement i went to the whiterun and there she was sitting in the companions mead hall.


Anyone know if this is a special thing or is it normal , Previously with my other followers /Hirelings when they die they stay dead.My new fave follower is to say the least Aela the undead.

In my experiance, main quest people will not die in your company, they go to their knee's and recharge their health.
So you probably left her recharging and then she spawned back to her place.

No i have finished the main companion qeast , and i removed the armor i gave her from her corpse in the dungeon i even took her items so i know she died. It might just be a glitch beceuse a few days past before i went back to the companions....

In my experiance, main quest people will not die in your company, they go to their knee's and recharge their health.
So you probably left her recharging and then she spawned back to her place.

Im not a Newb , i know the diffrence when a follower is healing or dead. I also know this should have happened , just looking for an answer why or if anyone else had this ?

well maybe it is a quest type reset, sorta like how certain dungeons will respawn after a while to protect quest lines. Even though she is killable now that the main quest is over, maybe because she is integral to the game it will respawn her for that reason. Seems logical.

It's probably a quest type reset. Aela, Farkas and Vilkas are the ones that give out the companion quests after everything is done. If you haven't cured yourself, Aela had three quests to give called the Totem of the Wolf (I think) and she will go with you on each one. Once done you can cure the other two and then yourself.

that makes sense . thank you very much . Just strange that she died and then suddenly re appeared and yea i only have two totums. Completed the main qeust thou

You can get the other totem as long as you haven't cured yourself. keep going to aela for work
