Abandoned palace (Lost city mod)

Is there any other way in, other than through the closed gate? If so, just say Yes, I don't need to know the answer, just that don't have to deal with the gate.

What was your overall impression of this mod? I recently watched my wife play through this. It seemed interesting, but then the end came about fairly suddenly and it seemed a bit anticlimactic. She doesn't really care for dialog in-game so she just wanted to get through it. I'm sure there's much that went unexperienced.

I deleted it but may need to get it back at some point. Currently going through Clockwork and it's, uh... well initially it was a bit unsettling. In a good way. Very creative. Don't give anything away if you've played through it- I imagine there are abundant surprises in store yet.
