Hello all! I have never participated in a Skyrim RP and I've always enjoyed fantasy and adventure. I thought it was high time I began to have fun delving into the realm we all have come to love. For this RP I believe there should be no more than five characters aside from mine. Well here's the background for the story:

"Zhar was familiar with the Gauldur Legend; the archmage who was killed by his sons and whose name was struck from history. Ten years ago the Dragonborn reforged Gauldur's Amulet after defeating Gauldur's three sons: Jyrik, Sigdis, and Mikrul. All thought that the mystery surrounding the Gauldur Legend was solved, that there could no longer be theories as to why Gauldur was murdered by his sons. This is until Zhar learned of a rumor that could change how the citizens of Skyrim perceive their history..."
Here is where those who wish to join this RP can post their Character sheets. This RP follows general rules, no godding, play with respect and most of all have fun. Once we have reached 4-5 additional characters the game will begin
    My Character:
    Name: Zhar
    Race: Khajiit
    Class: Mage/Scholar.
Physical Description: Zhar is a gray khajiit with black lines across his fur and sharp blue eyes. He is not overly imposing but is not a scrawny cat neither. Appears to be middle aged but it is hard to tell
Equipment/Weapons: Wears dark college robes and boots. Has a satchel at his side which holds his books, scrolls, potions, and ingredients. Has many years learning how to use magic and has a strong command of it. Excels at Conjuration, Destruction, and Illusion.
Personality: He is an intelligent mage that knows he has an intelligence advantage over others (including his peers) but does not flaunt his talent. Instead he is known to help others and enjoys laughing and debating for the fun of it. However Zhar can be quite an introvert and does not mind being alone. Zhar has an inept ability to coerce others to trust him and can talk his was into anything. However Zhar despises the ignorance of those who believe magic is beneath them and is known to become quite irritated by it.
Background:At a young age Zhar left Elysweyr to learn magic from prestigious mages. Upon leaving Elsweyr he left behind the name given to him by his family and donned the name "Zhar." (He felt it would be easier for non-Khajiit to pronounce) He first enrolled in the Synod in Cyrodil and spent a few years as an apprentice under a snobby wizard named Sinderion. Zhar felt that the Synod were not focused on teaching magic to pupils so he left and wandered from city to city to meet with court wizards, hoping they could teach him more about magic. When Zhar met with the court mage in Bruma he learned of a place where magic is not just a tool but the key to unraveling the unknown, a place where mages learned about the nature of magic not just the consequences of it. This of course is the College of Winterhold. Zhar knew that the College would be his next destination, so he set off for Skyrim with a mind full of hope. Upon reaching the College he immediately felt that he found his home; amongst the rubble of Winterhold was a jewel, a single glimmer of magic amongst a barren, frozen land. Quickly Zhar advanced through studies and past his fellow students. Now Zhar is amongst the most respected and powerful wizards at the College. He often goes on his own adventures, delving into the depths of Skyrim's tombs and caves insearch of the greatest treasure: knowledge.

Forgot to mention some of the important details:
    1) The Empire won the civil war, Elisef is the Queen of Skyrim
    2) The Aldmeri Dominion has left a few "advisors" in Skyrim (not a major presence anymore)
    3) Some NPCs from the game have died due to a variety of forces such as Kodlak from the Dragonborn inciting the anger of the Silver Hand and a random barkeep or two from battles in Whiterun and/or Windhelm. That sort of thing. I will let you know when an NPC is replaced
4)Remember that this story takes place 10 years after the events in Skyrim so there will definitely be some differences

Hm..I would be interested in signing up. It's been a while since I've been active on here and I'm prowling for RP's...

I shall post my character card all the same. Hopefully others might sign up as well.

    Name - Elsa The Fleet

    Gender - Female

    Race - Nord

    Age(in human years) - 24

    Alignment - Chaotic Neutral

    Appearance -

Elsa is average height for a nord, and is deceptively slim considering her strength. She has a faint scar running down from her left eyebrow down to her cheek after misusing her father's dagger a a child. She has long light brown hair which she usually has tied back in a braid or loose down her shoulders and forest green eyes.

    Equipment -

Handcrafted brown leather with green accents, Ebony bow named Ulfvindr (Wolf Wind), two ebony daggers for close range combat, and an assortment of poisons. Ulfvindir was Elsa's first steal and has always been her favourite bow.

    Personality -

Elsa is happy to live up to the label of "rapscallion and general ne'er do well." She's playful and mischievous on the surface, always trying to play people against each other for her own amusement. While her behaviour can be construed as "bad" it's usually without malice. It's just best for everyone else if she isn't bored. At a deeper level there are hints of a lost soul, echoing from her childhood, but she very rarely exposes that part of herself and prefers to be viewed as a charming, if a little annoying character.

    Backstory -

Elsa was born in Cyrodiil, the Waterfront to be precise. She was raised by her father, a merchant and occasional fence for the local guild thieves. As a small child she learned the art of thievery very quickly and spent a lot of her time acquiring items for her father to sell on. That is until she was caught in a noble's house and instead of paying the price herself, her father offered to take her place. After that her only rule was never to get caught and eventually she packed her things and moved to Skyrim to start over.

    Beliefs -

Elsa was raised by her nordic father to belief and worship Talos. While she acknowledges the Nine Divines she prefers to make her own destiny and does not dwell on worship.

Of the Daedric Princes Elsa follows Nocturnal. After a successful target she will always take time to thank Nocturnal, this often taking form of a few bottles of wine by the roadside.

Regarding the civil war Elsa takes on neither side, choosing not to get involved with politics while she travels Tamriel. As far as she is concerned the war only makes her job easier, no one notices a shadow when there are battles to be fought.

    Skills -

Elsa is an accomplished thief and alchemist. She dislikes getting her hands dirty, so she's more prone to use her bow for long distance shots, rather than her daggers which are only for life or death situations. She often has a number of poisons on her person at all times for aiding silent takedowns. He best skill how ever is stealth. She can often enter and leave a room without ever being noticed, usually with a fair few stolen items lining her pack.

She is incredibly agile from spending much of her childhood clambering about the Imperial City to evade the guards. She also has limited magic skills which she learnt from an elderly mage travelling from Skyrim. She dislikes using her magic and will only tap into that source of power in situations of life of death. Her preferred schools are destruction and illusion.

    Weaknesses -

Elsa has very little understanding of loyalty. She dislikes putting her trust in people and prefers to work alone which can cause friction with others. In a life or death situation she's more likely to save her own skin and side with whoever's winning rather than whoever she'd been siding with previously. There may be hope for her yet, but it will take a long time for her to gain anyone's trust herself. She's also weak in close combat. Her years of mastering the bow have meant that in cramped conditions she can sometimes struggle to hold her own.

AS88: Yea that sounds great, thanks!
AerinBenoch: I can add some more without giving too much away.

"It was a standard day in the Reach for an Imperial trade caravan. The train was traveling north from Markarth to Solitude, hoping to sell some fine jewelery, furs, and other goods. The sun was out and the weather was perfect for travel, perfect for an ambush. They came out of the jagged terrain, swarming the caravan and firing arrows into the horses: Forsworn. Fortunately for the traders and hired guards it was a small group of Forsworn. The caravan guards took up arms and fought back, soon driving the "wildmen" back into the hills. Filled with bloodlust, the guards pursued the attackers with the intent to kill everyone but the Forsworn knew the hills well and quickly fled out of sight. As the first rounded the hill he did not find his enemies rather a loose foundation and as he fell his comrades witnessed him fall into the blackness. One guard lit a torch and dropped it down into the crag, hoping to find his ally alive. But what they discovered was not a crag but the entrance to a tomb..."

    I COULDN'T RESIST :p

    Name: Kjorvir

    Gender: Male

    Race: Nord

    Age: 31

    Alignment: Neutral Good

    Appearance:

    IMAG01721_zps8e1eb9c3.jpg

    Equipment:
Steel Armour, with Steel Plate Boots and Scaled Bracers made of darker leather built over leather gloves. All worn over a sturdy tunic, with a hood for wet/cold weather. Carries a Steel Shield of good quality, and wields a Dwarven Sword tempered in the fires of the Skyforge. He carries his supplies in a leather and fur backpack, made from a dark bear pelt. During the summer, Kjorvir sometimes wears Scaled Armour rather than Steel, leaving whichever he isn't using with his friend Balimund at the Scorched Hammer.

    Personality:
Kjorvir has a cool demeanour, despite a typically Nordic drive and temper. His somewhat cool, calm and collected exterior makes some think of him as cold-hearted, yet he is quite the opposite. He is passionate about his freedom, and lives his life for the prospect of a challenge, and the chance to raise a strong son or two with stories of bravery and valour. His sense of humour depends on his mood, but he is often rather light-hearted and positive, especially with a tankard of ale and a fine woman in his hands. In many ways, he is like any other Nord, out to make good coin and tell better stories. What sets him apart though, is his ability to step back from a situation, and see what he stands to gain or lose from things. When another gains Kjorvir's trust, he is fiercely loyal, until he is crossed. His trust comes to hearty Nords quickest of all the races, but he can find a place in his trust for anyone, if they prove themselves to be trustworthy.

    Backstory:
Kjorvir grew up in Dragon Bridge, the son of two Nord parents. His father had been a mercenary, but retired and became somewhat withdrawn after his participation in the Great War, meaning Kjorvir hadn't ever had a great relationship with him. He knew of the love his father held for him though, and the occasional sword lessons and vacant, yet meaningful smiles, were enough. His mother was a part-time seamstress, mostly working on clothes and light armours belonging to passing soldiers or wanderers. The family lived well enough, Kjorvir's father had earned plenty of money in his twenties and thirties to buy a house and settle down, and his mother brought in enough money from her part-time work to keep the family comfortable. His relationship with his mother was good, she raised him well and was always telling him the stories she'd heard from the passers-by and soldiers, as well as the legendary stories of old. Kjorvir considered becoming a soldier with Legion, but after seeing the effects that war had on his father, he decided to go his own way, and travel.

Kjorvir's father died when the boy was in his teens, leaving his mother heartbroken. After a couple of years, when Kjorvir was 19, his mother made the decision to move in with her sister in Cyrodiil; partly for the comforts of family, and partly to escape the turmoil of the Civil War and Dragons. The young Nord was given the choice between going with his mother and living with family in Cyrodiil, or making his own way in life, on the road becoming a man. He chose the latter, for his father's memory, and set about exploring Skyrim after he'd escorted his mother to his aunt's.

He worked casually for a few years, moving from Hold to Hold, chopping wood, protecting caravans, working as a mercenary, etc. Kjorvir worked hard to make a good name for himself, but there was never a great deal of work available, save for bounty hunting, and he didn't particularly like the idea of raiding Draugr crypts or adventuring deep into the wilds on his own. Thus, he got in on group expeditions whenever he could, and travelled across and indeed under Skyrim. Eventually, his name became reasonably well-known, and he found he was able to afford some decent armour, tailored to fit his needs. He even managed to convince Eorlund Gray-Mane to work on his Dwarven Sword, after the old blacksmith recognised his name in the Bannered Mare.

Now, over 10 years since he started working, and almost fifteen since his father died, Kjorvir is looking for something to really better his reputation, and have a story worthy of song in taverns all across the province - something his parents and sons could be truly proud of.

    Beliefs:
More than anything else, Kjorvir believes in honour, loyalty, trust and honesty. If it were possible, Kjorvir would take the idea of "karma" very seriously, as he believes those who do right by others deserve the same treatment, and those who don't, deserve the consequences. Kjorvir believes strongly in his own ability and potential, but understands that he is not invincible. Should he find his way to Sovngarde, he would rather do it as a seasoned, well respected warrior, rather than a hot-headed brute who died foolishly. In terms of the divines, Kjorvir secretly prays to Talos regularly, and also often says his respects to Kynareth, Mara and Arkay.

    Skills:
Kjorvir is a skilful swordsman and well travelled, meaning he is rarely flustered in battle and usually keeps a cool head. His gradual training has made him a well balanced fighter in close combat, who makes full use of his shield and armour as well as his sword. Kjorvir's active career has also moulded him into a fine Nordic specimen, standing at around 6'2" with strong, but not overly large muscles. His experiences in Skyrim have made him "streetwise," and over the years he has become rather charming and interesting to speak to, meaning he can often unearth stories and rumours of interest. His broad adventures have made him a shrewd warrior who thinks one step ahead and prefers to prepare for the worst rather than hope blindly for the best. Kjorvir's experience with living and working on the move has meant he his comfortable out in the wild in terms of gathering suitable materials and picking suitable locations for camping, etc.

    Weaknesses:
Kjorvir can be quick to judge, and is slightly xenophobic to races with which he has had little contact (Elves, Khajiit, Argonians). That doesn't mean he is outwardly racist, but he takes a slightly more distrusting view of some, which can often be unfounded and lead to inner conflict. One of his biggest weaknesses is beautiful women, particularly Nords. He tends to trust women rather too easily, which has caused him to lose the occasional bag of Septims or shiny trinket now and again.

In battle, his weaknesses are his general discomfort around destruction magic, and his comparative lack of ability with ranged weapons. He is by no means cowardly around aggressive mages, but he can be slightly more hesitant when he sees a flicker of flame, ice or lightning in an adversary's palm. He is actually reasonably skilled with a bow, but he just doesn't really like using them out of preference.

    Why-So-Serious?

    It's a revolution... I suppose.
This looks quite interesting. I've been away from the forums for a while now and I need to get back into the swing of things. I'll post my character card. :)

    Name:Oriton (O-rye-ton)

    Age: 23

    Race: Imperial - Vampire

    Appearance:
    images
    images

Oriton's hair is blonde with a rough anime look to it. The second picture showsthe style the best. He has green eyes and his face is basically as it is shown in the first picture but slightly softer looking.

Personality: Oriton is quite shy when it comes to talking with others and when he does speak it is usually quite short lived. He doesn't like to open up to people often and the fact that he is a vampire is his most well kept secret. Orition hates the fact that he is a Vampire and doesn't want anyone to know. Sometimes he will kill to defend his secret. He is far from your typical Vampire. He feeds on animal blood (and even then does not kill the animal) although this makes him weaker than he would be if he fed on human blood. He has learnt to cope with the light through forcing himself outside during the early days of becoming a vampire and eats as a normal person would although it is not necessary. Oriton isn't sly, evil, or extremely wise like most other Vampires, it is in his greatest interest to act like a normal person.

Aside from this, Orition is a very loyal person and as well as guarding his secret, will defend his leader at the time with his life. He is usually popular among people he follows because of this despite his quiet personality.

Skills/class: Oriton is a duel-wield warrior who uses Samurai-like swords in battle. (Like the sword in the first picture.) He is stealthy but also honourable. He prefers that his enemies know he is there so they have a fair duel. He has not skill in magic of any kind but does not shun those who use it like most non-magic users. As well as this he does not posses any skill with the bow. He takes immense pride in his weapons as they were given to him by his farther. (how cliché) and have the word 'Honour' inscribed into the side of each.

Backstory: Oriton was raised in Cyrodil by his father alone as his mother died in labour. His father was a masterful swords-man but practised in a different way to most people who believed in simply charging into battle and hoping to deal more damage than they took. Orition's father believed that you must be honourable in battle and outmanoeuvre your opponent. He was trained since a young age and on his sixteenth birthday, when he had mastered his fathers teaching, was given his Samurai swordsby his father. His Father also gave him one hundred septims, a satchel and three books, telling him to explore the world. Orition left his home after saying goodbye to his family and friends and headed straight to Skyrimafter hearing that it was a very troubled country. This interested him... Soon after arriving he was attacked by a group of Vampire fledglings that he managed to fend of and kill, but at the cost of his mortality.
