I read on the fallout wiki that not all chems are addictive, is this true?

Does the chemist perk apply to the ones that aren't addictive?

"Chems" in the sense of what is and isn't addictive, is a little misleading here. As players, we think of chems as being Jet, Buffout, Psycho, Mentats, etc., but the term also covers Rad-X and RadAway, Stimpaks, and Addictol.

I've found one list which claims several other items are included in the chem category, with things like Orange Mentats being non addictive, but another list notes them as being addictive. So, knowing Bethesda, it's probably safest to assume the things we think of as chems are all going to be addictive.

I would reference this list to double check something's addictive properties.

As for your second question: the Chemist perk applies to all chems in Fallout 4. Chems without a duration, such as Stimpaks, RadAway, and Addictol will not benefit, because there is no timer to extend. Rad-X, however, should still benefit.
