Know first that our Order is no simple tribe of savages, tearing throats with the orgiastic abandon of our scattered, tribal brethren. Ours is a civil fraternity, to which we are bound by our thrist for blood and influence. By the virtue of Imperial structure and bureaucracy, Cyrodiil has become our stronghold in the third era. And we suffer no savage rivals within our boundaries, reveal ourselves to none, and manipulate the hand of society to mete our agendas. But you would be wrong to assume that our existence dates back only to the Third Age, our Order had been present in Cyrodiil for many centuries before we succeeded in eliminating our rivals and assumed total control over the province.
To Kin-father Molag Bal, who brought forth the bloodmatron Lamae to spite Arkay, we owe our existence, as do all vampires, though not all honor Him. For him we revel in the feast, and acknowledge the gift adrift in our veins. To patron Clavicus Vile, beacon o'er our affairs, we owe our successes and social stature. Our bond with Vile makes us unique among our kind, for his guidance steels our savage craving with reason and savvy. For him we live amidst mankind, and twist them to our will from offices of power.
To preserve our ideals and way of life, two primary edicts shall be observed. Above all, reveal thyself and our Order to no other, for discretion is the greatest of our virtues. Do not feed where you may be found out, or on those who may suspect your passing. Avoid daylight by lifestyle; dispel common belief in our kind, and maintain supple appearance through satisfaction of the thirst. Second, devote your pursuits to the procurement of influence, political and otherwise. Our strength is not in physical numbers, but in skillful manipulation of society. Always be mindful of our Patrons, and preserve the Order. Devote yourself to these ideals always, and the Order shall count you amongst our own.
The Roleplay:
The roleplay will take place during the Civil War but a few months after the events of the Dawnguard DLC in Skyrim. With the powerful and ancient Volkihar clan destroyed, the path has been opened for our Order to expand its influence. The participants in this roleplay will portray important figures that have been send over to Skyrim under a pretext of their choosing, but with the goal of cleansing the province of the remnants of the Volkihar bloodline. Resistances are to be expected, such as the ever growing Dawnguard threat, but with careful manipulation of high society they can be discredited by means of staged public revelations.
Every participant has a free creative license as to the position or function of their character, keep in mind that recommended professions would be a high ranking military position, being a trader or merchant, even a scholar or historian are perfectly acceptable. Being a simple soldier is possible, but it would require something additional to be included, a hero status for example. Our Order is sophisticated and present in high society, hence you require a fitting status.
Additional Information:
I would be controlling the leader or one of the leading figures of the order, there isn't an exact chain of command but traditionally the oldest of the Order make up the leadership. Therefor I would prefer if your characters weren't to old, also keep in mind that you are a Vampire of Cyrodilic origin, meaning your symptoms and powers are slightly different from the Skyrim variant. I also encourage any race, no need for a strict line of Imperials or Nords, but if you choose to be a race such as an Argonian then your occupation and history has to be fitting, it would be harder for you to aquire status.
