    Name: Ardus Carn

    Alias: The Wolf

    Age: 36

    Sex: Male

    Race: Imperial

    Sexuality: Heterosexual/straight

    Relationship/Marital status: Widowed

    Laterality: Right handed

    Afflictions: n/a

Appearance: Ardus is tall, six feet, and weighs around one hundred and eighty pounds. His face is pale and gaunt with high cheekbones, and clean shaven, with several small scars. His eyes are steel grey, and hard as the blade of his sword. Some say they contain a deep seated hatred, and they would not be far wrong. His hair is cut short, black, and streaked with grey. Ardus is heavily muscled from years of training with various weaponry. His body is covered in scars, from numerous battles. The most notable of these scars is a star burst shaped scar, just over his heart, left by a crossbow bolt.

Armour: Ardus wears dark grey leather armour, tempered to resist slashing blows, but still very flexible. This covers most of his body. On his shoulders, forearms, shins, and thighs, dark grey, almost black steel plate protects him. Wears a pair of black leather boots, with steel spike toes.

Weaponry: Steel hand and a half sword. Steel war axe. Maine-Gauche dagger.

    Class: Bounty hunter

Combat preference: Ardus is not a straight up and up warrior. He doesn't believe in such things as 'honourable combat.' When Ardus gets into a fight, he gets in it to win, and doesn't hold back until his targets are on the ground. He prefers to use his steel hand and a half sword, sometimes in tandem with his maine-gauche, but has no problems using his hands and feet to get the job done. He dislikes bows and sneaking, and is pretty much useless when it comes to ranged combat.

Personality:Ardus Carn is by no means a nice man. Though technically, he's a bounty hunter, his real title should be assassin. He enjoys the hunt as much as he enjoys the fight. He's cold and somewhat sadistic, drawing out his preys last moments before cutting them down. He doesn't believe in any type of deity. Over all, Ardus values gold. He'll work for the highest bidder, but once someone has secured his services, he is loyal. Or, at least as loyal as one like him can be. He doesn't put much stock in honour, and dislikes those that strive to see the best in people.

    Religion:None

Positive traits: Determined, true to his word.

    Negative traits: Stubborn, callous, greedy.

    Likes:Gold. Bringing in a bounty.

Dislikes: Honourable men, naivete, those who cheat him.

    Fears: Betrayal

History: Ardus was born in the capital of the Empire, the Imperial City. He never truly got on well with his family, and was seen as somewhat of a loner. He was obsessed with weapons, and often left his chores at home to train with the guard. Though he had the makings of a good guardsman, Ardus disliked having to follow orders. By the time he was eighteen, he'd become cold and distant. He left home, and worked as a blade for hire.

He relied on and trusted only himself. By the time he was twenty, Ardus had created quite a reputation for himself in Cyrodiil. Imperial lords were clamouring for his services, either to remove a nest of bandits, or a rival. His actions in the heartland of the Empire made him both many admirers, and many enemies.

When working a job, he was betrayed by the Imperial lord that had hired him. A squad of Imperial soldiers ambushed him, and one fired a crossbow bolt into his chest. The bolt nearly killed him. The Imperials left him for dead in the streets, where he was discovered by a Dunmer woman. The woman took care of him, and nursed him back to health, enduring Ardus' distrust stoically. When he recovered, he paid the woman a handsome sum of gold, and learned her name: Sevassa.

The Imperial lord was found later that month with the same bolt that had nearly killed Ardus lodged in his throat. Ardus, having grown fond of Sevassa in his own way, left Cyrodiil with her. They settled in Hammerfell, where Sevassa attempted to convince him there was more to life than killing. He didn't believe her, but he agreed to try, for her sake.

They lived like that for a short, sweet year, Ardus becoming a novice, though promising blacksmith. They married on the first of Suns' Dusk. Unfortunately, this happiness was not to be. Some of the enemies Ardus had made in Cyrodiil had finally tracked him to Hammerfell. They feared him, and so instead of striking at him, struck at Sevassa. Ardus returned home, to find her slaughtered like a common animal.

Ardus left Hammerfell harder and colder than ever. He spent months tracking down the men responsible. He found them. Hurt them. Eventually killed them. This feat earned him the nickname, the Wolf. For once he caught the trail of those he hunted, he never lost them. Though condemned to a criminals death in Cyrodiil, Ardus never feared for his life. For those that called for his death, there were at least twice that many who called for his services.

    | Cedrida Ibn'nar |
    (SEH-DRY-DUH EYE-BIN-NAR)
    ↞↞↠↠

    General

× The Ace of Spades; He goes by Spadi (SPAH-DIE; short for Spadille) to those he is not familiar with.
× Age is estimated in the range of his late thirties, but he could be much older due to his condition.
× An Imperial with traces of Redguard
× His sexuality is undefined; he has yet to find anyone.
    × Currently Single
    × Right-Handed, Left Eye Dominant
    × Afflicted with Vampirism
× He classifies as a ranger. He is a detective for part of his time.
× He can be categorized as a lawful neutral, though he respects freedom and the choice to think outside laws.

× He is moral, but he does not follow a religion.

    Image

× His hair leans towards light brown, flipping off to the side if he neglects cutting it. His roots are dark, adding the "rich" effect in addition to the occasional highlight.
× His face is diamond-like and his lips are full.
× The most characteristic scar is at the very right corner of his mouth where cold sores commonly appear, and the scar continues down his jaw. Another scar marks his sternum- the mark of his vampirism.
× Light stubble, faint mustache; he tends to the hair about his face better than the strands on his head.
× His skin used to be a pale bronze, now lighter with a dusky hint. Occasional dark specks dot his lower eyelids and nose.
× His eyes are amber, rich in gold especially when light is abundant.
× He wears armor that is free to move in, basically armored robes (though he is not a mage of any sort). Silvery plates mask his shoulders, upper back, and chest. Underneath his robes is tough padding, just enough to protect him from a graze, not enough to weigh him down. The fabrics follow a scheme of grey tones with streaks of ivory and dull blue. A scarf and hood shield his face. He will equip a shoulder cape made from the hide of a wolf if the area is cold (just to "blend in"). Something akin to a battle-mage or cultist robes.
× He has a rope attached to a belt if he must detain someone.
× He carries a black suede journal to log investigations, and memorizes almost every face he so much as glances at.
× The journal is secured in a somewhat worn, leathery bag, shaped just right for the journal.
× He wields an ebony bow, and his quiver is colorful with a variety of arrows placed at his lower back. Behind his bow, a silver short sword is secured to his back, with a hilt seemingly in the shape of a sun.
× His bow has a small marble that appears to be a white slitted eye implanted just above the grip.
× He has a set of three rings harvested from the claws of a bird - worn on his left hand.
× His voice is low, rough, a little sour. He has a heavy slur, in which an "s" will occasionally sound like a "z", the result of his parents. However, his voice can be somewhat soothing (Voice of the Emperor?). To be more clear, refer to Bandit from Rainbow Six Siege.
× He has a strong build, though he has a little more lissomeness than the average brute soldier. He stands a little over 6 feet.

    Skill

× He is efficient at evasion.
× He prefers long range to close combat; his bow over his knife. Were either to be unavailable, he can use his own body, his vampirism is a bonus.
× If it is necessary, his full-body coordination allows for wielding a two-handed weapon.
× He is excellent with his quick-thinking; last seconds are not a concern for him, and he accurately identifies weak points.
× He snoops, and therefore he picks locks. He usually only carries five to seven picks. It is all he needs.
× He can tolerate poison, his Redguard blood is to thank.
× He can be persuasive, mainly through intimidation, but he is rational enough not to use it excessively.
× While he is adept in sneaking, he is more apt for sniping.
× His kills are swift. He does not let his opponent suffer, dreading what will become of him if he sat and watched too long.
× Smart with horseback, whether it's combat or fleeing.

    Personality

× He is reserved and mildly pessimistic. His face at rest is not quite a scowl, but he appears unapproachable. He is terrible at expressing his care. He acts phlegmatic. He is distrusting. He will not react to anything if he is galled. With the greatest of his wrath comes brutality; he becomes volatile. His straightforwardness is more rude than honest. His casual tone is boorish, making it difficult at times to identify sincereness or sarcasm. Skepticism comes naturally, and he refrains his utterance of it. He is assertive. His alignment aside, there is always faint disapproval in his brow when a reasonable law is broken, as if he is restraining visible judgement. He talks only loud enough to sound audiable and maintains sternness without making the presence of his teeth too obvious.

× He is witty. His remarks would be more entertaining if it weren't for his tone of voice. He is stubborn with his morals, only breaking them in exchange for something greater. He tries to correct his bitterness when he catches it. When he recognizes pessimism in his speech, he ceases talk. He is rational; he will listen. He does not attach without difficulty, but when trust is fought for and earned, he is unforgivingly loyal. He is humble, but unsure of how to respond to admiration. He has an abundance of self-control. Lastly and obviously, he is observant and watchful.

    History

Cedrida was once a soldier. He fought wars only occasionally, however.

Cedrida was born into the Legion, with his father (the source of his imperial blood) already being a well-respected figure. Unlike the rest, Cedrida was trained to have more finesse than his foolhardy counterparts. He can be considered akin to an assassin, without the rebellious mind. He became known as Spadille (The Ace of Spades), as he was highly valued for his role.

Cedrida's father was good-natured and loyal. Jokes regarding how his father was enamored with a Redguard were not uncommon, and certainly were friendly and non-offensive. The jokes ended when the woman was on display in their own home, with her neck rived around a corner of her jaw.

His father suffered the same fate after two years of mourning and ensuring his son would not be marked for the same doom.

Cedrida had to be curious for the duties that required a spy. The connection between his parents' deaths and many others reported conflicted him too much to not start searching. That's when he saw them. Documents, seemingly hit-lists, were on display for his eyes.

His father's name presented itself on the parchment, bisected by a stripe of ink. Below it was his very own first name followed by his mother's surname. Curiosity kills. On cue, he had seen the traitor's face just as he was bashed into the wall. This was the first time he ever raised his voice above a strict demand.

He tore out the man's cold heart with his own blade. He sat there, watching the man die slowly, and his own heart beginning to feel unfeeling. This man was a vampire, and also second-in-command at the time. The highest command was killed shortly (and permanently) before Cedrida, and the Ace never knew. Clutching his torso, Cedrida burned the body until it was nothing but ash, and he laid down on the opposite end of the room.

He woke up to a damp sensation. He was cocooned in fine fabrics, heavy with water from the roaring falls. Whoever sent him away never succeeded in getting him to Sovngarde. He lives with the fact that he essentially faked his death.

    As if Meridia pitied him.

All he has now is a duty to track snakes.

    × He is ironic for a vampire.×

Not bad for a 'work in progress' ;)

And @Drahkma I think I remember Ardus from Shadeds' Mist and Shadows. My character and yours should have some...interesting interactions.

    Name: Merric Vasser

    Alias: N/A

    Age: 25

    Sex: Male

    Race: Breton

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Relationship/Marital status: Single

    Laterality: Ambidextrous

Afflictions: Amnesia, suffers from intense headaches.

Appearance: A fair skinned male, clearly no stranger to battle with scars covering a good portion of his torso. His face is unmarked except for a long, jagged scar that follows his hairline, terminating shortly before his left temple. His hair is long and a dark blond, bound together with a thick leather strip. His facial hair is neatly trimmed, but it will grow out if he is unable to find a shaving blade. He has deep blue eyes, often troubled and introspective.

Armour: Steel covers a leather tunic, specifically his shoulders and upper arms, along with steel guantlets, and a half-plate that protects the upper half of his torso. He wears sturdy leather boots, and over all of this, a heavy leather long coat, that falls to past his knees, offering protection from the weather as much as it does slashing blows from a blade.

Weaponry: A steel longsword that he wields in his right hand, with a typical leather wrapped hilt and a slightly curving crossguard. His second weapon is a slightly shorter sword, fashioned in the fashion of the nords, with an enlarged, curving tip, and elaborate scrollwork along the center of the weapon.

Class: Swordsman (in actuality, he was an assassin, but does not know this.)

Combat preference: While he is comfortable fighting with both hands, he prefers the plain longsword, wielding it in a practice two handed grip. He's practiced with both blades for many years, in fact many more than he knows. He cannot explain his skill with the blade, but he knows that he is next to useless with a bow, throwing weapons, and magic, unusually for a breton. He dominates one on one combat, and can handle two to three others, but against magic or archers, he must rely on his companions or his ability to close the distance quickly.

Personality: Open and friendly, but he dislikes being questioned about his past, and will often become quiet and withdrawn if pressed. In secret, he seeks knowledge about his past life, and how he got the dozens of scars that cover his body. He's respectful of the law, to a point. If the law allows injustices, he will take action, even if it means putting himself in danger. He cares very little for tyrants and cowards, and sees the current civil war as a pointless waste of life.

Religion: The divines, in a general sort of way.

    Positive traits: Honest, brave, clever

    Negative traits: Blunt, introverted.

Likes: The sound of rushing water, silence of night, and a good wine.

    Dislikes: Crowds, arrogance, racists, tyrants.

Fears: His past. Specifically, finding out that he was a darker character than he is now.

History: Orphaned at a young age, Merric was brought up by an order of reclusive assassins, operating out of the northern High Rock city of Jehenna. While he was provided with a roof over his head, food, and drink, the young breton did not have an easy life. He was trained to move silently through the shadows, and strike with brutal efficiency. But more than that, he was tutored by one of the best swordsmen fund throughout High Rock. When he reached his eighteenth birthday, he was assigned his first target. A veteran knight of the order of the Raven.

The man was found beheaded come dawn. For three years, Merric was used as a silent, hidden blade, silencing the enemies of his masters, and being told that he was working towards a 'greater good'. When the young breton finally found the truth, his rage was great. He confronted his former mentor, and the two engaged in a brutal duel. Before he could land a killing blow, his mentor struck, striking his forehead and knocking him unconcious.

As the assassins could not risk Merrics' body being discovered on the side of a road or in the wilderness, they tossed his body into the sea, secure in the knowledge the frigid water would finish the promising young killer. And it would have, if not for the crew of a small fishing vessel, that happened to be passing by. Slowly, they nursed Merric back to health, and discovered, as he did, that he had not memory of his life, besides being pulled from the sea several weeks earlier.

For the next four years, the breton wandered the land, offering his skills as a swordsman to any who needed it. He built a reputation for himself, but never claimed credit for his deeds. When the news of the civil war reached him, he departed for Skyrim at once, eager to continuing building a life for himself.

    Name: Alainne Renier

    Alias: n/a

    Age: 24

    Sex: Male

    Race: Breton

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Relationship/Marital status: Single

Laterality: Uses both hands for his weapon.

    Afflictions: None as of yet.

Appearance: Alainne is exactly two metres tall, with a muscular build and fair skin. His hair is cut short, and his beard is neatly trimmed. His eyes are hazel in colour, and contrasting with his pale, almost white blond hair.

Armour: Wears full plate armour, with the symbol of Arkay on the shoulders and breastplate. Unlike many of his fellows, he does not wear a helmet, despite the danger that poses. Chainmail under the heavy steel increases his protection, as does the thin leather tunic he wears under it. When not in armour he wears a simple set of trousers and shirt.

Weaponry: Wields a warhammer inscribed with holy runes, specifically made to defeat undead and other forces of evil. The weapon is heavy enough that it requires two hands to use, and Alainne is proficient enough that he uses no other weapon. He also has access to limited but powerful restoration magics, that can only be used once per day.

    Class: Paladin

Combat preference: Fitting for someone who wears full plate and wields a warhammer, Alainne is often in the thick of fighting, where he uses his hammer to smash aside all resistance. The wide swings of the weapon are good against small groups of enemies, but leave him open to fast, skilled fighters.

Personality: Unlike his brother paladins, Alainne is not as secure in his faith as he leads others to believe. He has seen and done things in Arkays' name that has left him unsettled, to say the least. However, he is loyal to his order, and persistent in his quest to rid the world of evil creatures.

Religion: Acknowledges the eight, but only actively worships Arkay.

    Positive traits: Compassionate, steadfast.

Negative traits: Can be too headstrong for his own good, over zealous at times.

    Likes: Meditation, quiet, lawful individuals

    Dislikes: Chaos, vampires, undead, criminals.

    Fears: Losing his faith.

History: Born in the slums of Evermore, High Rock, Alainne had a rough child hood, and lost his mother to disease when he was merely ten years old. Odds were, he would not have survived long, especially not in the rough places of the city.

Fortunately for him, a troop of Arkays' paladins were moving through the city, and one of their number took pity upon the young breton boy. Taken to one of their local chapter houses, he was brought up as a paladin, eventually accompanying his fellows on tasks to purge undead and necromancers.

Two years ago, he finally gained enough experience in the field to be permitted to work alone. His first assignment is finding what or who has been abducting villagers in Skyrim, and putting an end to them.

    Name: Arnjulf Briarhearth

    Alias: None

    Age: 63

    Sex: Male

    Race: Nord

Sexuality: Eh...what do you call it when someone has an unhealthy infatuation with fire?

Relationship/Marital status: Single/ Married to the flame

    Laterality: Both hands

Afflictions: More than a little bit insane/ pyromaniac.

Appearance: Arnjulf isn't quite as tall as the usual nords, about 5'8", rather than the usual six foot tall brutes who wander around dragging axes behind them. He's thin, but not to the point of looking unhealthy. Dark eyes peek from under bushy black eyebrows, that, like his hair, are slowly turning white. A thick beard stretches down to his chest, and is badly singed at the end and around the edges. Despite the damage to his beard, his flesh is unmarked, by burns or other injuries.

Armour: Relies on his flame spells to protect him, and so doesn't bother with armor in the usual sense. He does however wear a tattered brown hermits robe, over lighter, beige-tan colored pants and tunic. For footwear, he has sturdy boots, made for walking long distances.

Weaponry: Fire,FIRE, and more fire. He does carry an oaken staff, with a large ruby on top of it, that seems to glow with an inner flame.

    Class: Pyromancer

Combat preference: Standing at a distance and burning anything that looks flammable. Anything that gets close gets burnt as well. Actually, it's probably a really bad idea to be too close to him.

Personality: When not rambling on about the greatness of the flame and its properties, he's actually a kind and open old man, more than willing to help those in need, or talk about his past experiences. He's intolerant of wanton murder and 'collateral damage' so long as it isn't caused by him, (might be a bit of a hypocrite).

    Religion: Eh....the fire.

    Positive traits: Wise, friendly, honest

Negative traits: A little bit crazy. Bit of a hypocrite.

Likes: FIre. Things that can be set on fire. Things that ARE on fire.

Dislikes: Rain, water, murderers/thugs. Things resistant to.....FIRE!

Fears: That one day, the flame will repay his devotion by turning on him.

History: Born in Skyrim, Arnjulf always had a...somewhat unhealthy fascination with flames. While he never burned himself or anything else down, he did accidentally set one of the jarl of Falkreaths favorite tapestries on fire. At least, he claims it was an accident. Needless to say, he was not very well liked by the jarl, who set out to make life miserable for the young nord. Shortly before his eighteenth birthday, he left home, intending to make his way to the college of winterhold. Unfortunately, he never made it, instead being caught by bandits, who, thinking he was in fact FROM the college, planned to ransom him for a wagon load of valuable enchanted items from the mages there.

While Arnjulfs skill with the flame was not refined, it was powerful. In a maelstrom of fire, he burned the bandits and their camp to cinders, before stumbling away. The drain on his magic had left him exhausted, and he collapsed a short distance away. Luck was with the young mage, for a traveling wizard from High Rock came across him, and connecting the dots, brought him home to his tower in the Wrothgarian mountains.

For the better part of two decades, Arnjulf studied under his mentor, scouring through ancient texts, of forgotten places and peoples, while consistently increasing his magical prowess. At the age of thirty five, Arnjulf set out to explore the world, helping those in need, and of course, enhancing his skill with fire magic. Others, besides his mentor of course, had always seen him as a rather strange character. Isolation and his obsession with fire have not done wonders for his mind, and it shows. Despite this, he is good at heart, and is willing to offer his considerable power to those seeking to find the missing peoples of Skyrim.

Dialogue Colour: Red probably fits well here.

Hey guys. Do you think you might have room for one more? I've got a character in mind, but I understand if you've got as many people as you want already.

Well I'm still waiting on @thatguy2 but if I don't see a cc from him by monday, or if someone drops out, I'll see your cc.

Still here and interested. I'm just going to have Shadeling show up after most of the cast is already at the tavern. She's way too cautious to go in before she knows all the involved players.

Okay, I think we're still waiting on three (four) others for intros. No rush, just getting it out there.
