    The Angry One
This RP is a joint rp thought up by Drahkma and myself. It takes place a little after the beginning of the civil war, though it will take place exclusively in Cyrodiil. This won't be a RP where we have a ton of people. I'm thinking six people, eight at the most.

    Plot
The Empire is falling apart. The blind and the proud might not see it, but for those who watch from the shadows, it's all too clear. The Emperor himself has seen it, though he hopes to delay, if not stop it. With most of the Empires soldiers guarding against threats from outside, the heartland of the Empire, Cyrodiil, is ripe for the picking. Dissident groups have popped up all over Cyrodiil, rebelling for the sake of it, or some obscure cause or another. To bring an end to this, the Empire has begun hiring mercenaries of all kinds, though some enemies may be too much of a challenge, even for these stalkers of shadows.

    Rules
1: No god modding. Super powers, armours, swords and spells are out. And the characters that use them.

2: No scripting other peoples characters without permission. You'll be warned once, then asked to leave.

3: Proper grammar and spelling. If you can't do this, don't bother joining.

4: Follow the template. If you don't, you will not be accepted. This is non-negotiable.

5: Posts must be more than three lines long. If you can't think of anything good to post, wait, and think of something.

Doesn't seem to be much interest for this. Shame. I guess I'll put up Carns cc then.

    Drahkma

    Dashing Imperial Officer.
-Added a 'combat preference' section. Thought it might be cool to have one. Maybe add it into the template? Optional, or not, your call.

    Name: Ardus Carn. 'The Wolf'

    Gender: Male

    Age: 34

    Race: Imperial

    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
    Marital Status: Widower

    Class: Assassin/ Bounty Hunter

Combat Preference: Ardus is not a straight up and up warrior. He doesn't believe in such things as 'honourable combat.' When Ardus gets into a fight, he gets in it to win, and doesn't hold back until his targets are on the ground. He prefers to use his steel hand and a half sword, sometimes in tandem with his maine-gauche, but has no problems using his hands and feet to get the job done. He dislikes bows and sneaking, and is pretty much useless when it comes to ranged combat.

Weapons: Hand and a half longsword, maine-gauche.

Armour: Ardus wears dark grey leather armour, tempered to resist slashing blows, but still very flexible. This covers most of his body. On his shoulders, forearms, shins, and thighs, dark grey, almost black steel plate protects him. Wears a pair of black leather boots, with steel spike toes.

Appearance: Ardus is tall, six feet, and weighs around one hundred and eighty pounds. His face is pale and gaunt with high cheekbones, and clean shaven, with several small scars. His eyes are steel grey, and hard as the blade of his sword. Some say they contain a deep seated hatred, and they would not be far wrong. His hair is cut short, black, and streaked with grey.

Ardus is heavily muscled from years of training with various weaponry. His body is covered in scars, from numerous battles. The most notable of these scars is a star burst shaped scar, just over his heart, left by a crossbow bolt.

Personality: Ardus Carn is by no means a nice man. Though technically, he's a bounty hunter, his real title should be assassin. He enjoys the hunt as much as he enjoys the fight. He's cold and somewhat sadistic, drawing out his preys last moments before cutting them down. He doesn't believe in any type of deity.

Likes: Gold, a successful mission, tracking his target

Dislikes: Idiots, those that go back on their word, and religious fanatics.

    Biography:

Ardus was born in the capital of the Empire, the Imperial City. He never truly got on well with his family, and was seen as somewhat of a loner. He was obsessed with weapons, and often left his chores at home to train with the guard. Though he had the makings of a good guardsman, Ardus disliked having to follow orders. By the time he was eighteen, he'd become cold and distant. He left home, and worked as a blade for hire.

He relied on and trusted only himself. By the time he was twenty, Ardus had created quite a reputation for himself in Cyrodiil. Imperial lords were clamouring for his services, either to remove a nest of bandits, or a rival. His actions in the heartland of the Empire made him both many admirers, and many enemies.

When working a job, he was betrayed by the Imperial lord that had hired him. A squad of Imperial soldiers ambushed him, and one fired a crossbow bolt into his chest. The bolt nearly killed him. The Imperials left him for dead in the streets, where he was discovered by a Dunmer woman. The woman took care of him, and nursed him back to health, enduring Ardus' distrust stoically. When he recovered, he paid the woman a handsome sum of gold, and learned her name: Sevassa.

The Imperial lord was found later that month with the same bolt that had nearly killed Ardus lodged in his throat. Ardus, having grown fond of Sevassa in his own way, left Cyrodiil with her. They settled in Hammerfell, where Sevassa attempted to convince him there was more to life than killing. He didn't believe her, but he agreed to try, for her sake.

They lived like that for a short, sweet year, Ardus becoming a novice, though promising blacksmith. They married on the first of Suns' Dusk. Unfortunately, this happiness was not to be. Some of the enemies Ardus had made in Cyrodiil had finally tracked him to Hammerfell. They feared him, and so instead of striking at him, struck at Sevassa. Ardus returned home, to find her slaughtered like a common animal.

Ardus left Hammerfell harder and colder than ever. He spent months tracking down the men responsible. He found them. Hurt them. Eventually killed them. This feat earned him the nickname, the Wolf. For once he caught the trail of those he hunted, he never lost them. Though condemned to a criminals death in Cyrodiil, Ardus never feared for his life. For those that called for his death, there were at least twice that many who called for his services.

You can have as many characters as you'd like. Within reason I mean. And Drahkma, I'll add in the combat preference.

    Gender: Male
    Age: 32
    Race: Nord
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
    Marital Status: Single
    Class: Ranger
    Combat Preference: Mojarr distains kill
Weapons: An Orcish Bow & Elvish dagger, as well as various H2H combat styles.
Armour: Sports a sturdy leather armor that lies underneath chain-mail like protection crafted from argonian scales. Various straps allow Mojarr to carry a wide array of diversions, alchemic, and miscellaneous items.
    Appearance: ranger_by_alexstoneart-d6424h7.jpg
Personality: Mojarr is witty and quick to react. He has a very down to earth sense of humor and is extremely patient. Calm and collected, Mojarr likes to analyze the situation before taking action. Sharp with his tongue, the Ranger will often defuse situations before they escalate.
Likes: Good drink, peace, tranquility, studying lore and culture, women.
Dislikes: The Undead, tyranny & corruption, ignorance.

Biography: Born to beggars in the streets of Solitude, Mojarr spent most of life wondering where his next meal would come from. His Parents, unable to raise a child any longer, abandoned him when he was just a lad. As a result of his less than ideal lifestyle, the Nord turned to theft and other crimes at a young age. Eventually, Mojarr fell in with a notorious gang, who treated him like their own flesh and blood. Over the years Mojarr developed a taste for the bow, favoring the sleek, slient approach to things opposed to the chaos of melee. Having spent 10 years of his life with the gang in which many of his former gang mates either left, were imprisoned or killed, Mojarr began to notice the damage his criminal actions left on his victims and his gangmates. An immense wave of guilt tortured the Nord, driving him to leave Solitude and live in the wilds of Haafingar. It was here that he spent much time in isolation, training vigorously, contemplating his sins and what he could do to redeem himself. Deciding that the path to redemption lay in helping those who couldn't help themselves, Mojarr devoted his life and skills to becoming a Batman like character, using his talent to perform vigilante justice and returning to Solitude. As word of his deeds grow, Mojarr's fame also grows, even if he disappears into the darkness before he can be thanked..

This looks interesting. I might put a CC up in a bit.

    Madrar

    The Shadow in the Dark.
Going to be using two charaters, I've decided. A dark elf, and Veridas Ashheart.

    Name: Jeth La'ralle

    Gender: Male

    Age: 68

    Race: Dunmer

    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Sexual Preference: Females. The bustier the better.

    Marital Status: Single

    Class: Spellsword

Combat Preference: Jeth floats among the chaos of combat. He uses a scimitar in each hand, cutting apart those that stand in his path. At range, he utilizes a pair of jewelled wands, one fire based, the other ice. He devastates the battlefields around him, his thin frame belying the skill he wields all his weapons with.

Weapons: A pair of thin scimitars, and a pair of jewelled wands

    images

Armour: Jeth wears leather leggings, soft soled boots, and a dark blue long sleeved tunic, inscribed with dunmeri sigils. He wears a dark cloak, made of rich fabric, which repels both filth and water. The cloaks clasp is able to deflect a limited amount of magic. Though his apparel offers little protection from physical weapons, it is rather...fashionable.

Appearance: Jeth is not terribly tall, standing at just over 5'5". He has angular cheekbones, and dark red eyes. His hair is white, and worn in braids, that reach his shoulders. He is slim enough to be considered an easy target. This is often an enemies last mistake. His dark grey skin is unmarred by scars, and as with most elves, at a mere sixty eight, he's only a young elf.

Personality: Jeth loves to experience everything, and it shows in his demeanour. He's generally friendly, but when angered, becomes cold and callous. He values his friends almost more than he values his life.

Likes: Coin, busty women, good company

    Dislikes: Disloyalty, racism, and heat.

Biography: Jeth was born in a family of wealthy traders, and had been set to take over the trade. Then the Argonians attacked, slaughtering their former slave masters with flame and blades. Jeth survived, but his family did not. As most in Morrowwind know, a houseless elf usually doesn't survive for long.

Instead of staying in the land of his people, Jeth headed for Skyrim. There, he met the assassin Veridas Ashheart. Despite the differences between the two, they struck up a fast friendship, and worked together as a mercenary team. After a few months, the pair left the northern province for the warmer climes of Cyrodiil. Plus, a little coin never hurt anyone.

    The Angry One
    Name:Shadari

    Gender: Female

    Age: 22

    Race: Khajiit

    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

    Sexual Preference: Bisexual

    Marital Status: Single

    Class: Assassin

Combat Preference: She prefers not to be noticed, striking and fading before her target even realizes she's been there. But, she is very skilled at both hand to hand and one handed sword combat. When fighting at range, she uses her balanced steel throwing daggers to whittle down the number of enemies.

Weapons: A moonstone and steel falchion, passed down through her family for generations. She also has six throwing knives, sheathed on her belt.

Armour: Grey leather armour, nearly the same shade as her fur. The armour is slightly thicker at her shoulders, though for the most part, it's made to deflect blows, instead of absorbing them.

Appearance: Shadari has dark grey, almost black fur, that pales near the tip of her tail and ears. Her eyes are an emerald green, with often a cold glint to them. She stands at 5'4", which means she's often underestimated by her targets. She is fairly attractive, wearing form fitting armour that leaves very little to the imagination.

Personality: Shadari comes across as cold and callous. She hides enough of her true feelings beneath a blanket of abuse and sarcasm. She avoids anything even vaguely resembling a relationship.

    Likes: Quiet, well maintained weaponry

    Dislikes: Most people.

Biography: Born in the Khajiit homeland of Elsweyr, Shadari was part of a litter of five, and spent most of her childhood in glorious ignorance of the outside world. Her clan, were renowned as 'problem' solvers both for Khajiit monarchy, and occasionally outsiders.

When approached by a powerful sorcerer by the name of Jorn Blackstone, who wished to hire the group, but was both offensive and ignorant, they turned him away. This turned out to be their undoing, as the mage flew into a rage, and systematically slaughtered the Khajiit.

All but Shadari, who'd been out on her own when the mage had arrived. Upon coming across her massacred clan, she swore vengeance on the perpetrator. Discovering his description from a witness, she left Elsweyr behind her. For two years she hunted him, taking additional contracts along the way as she did so. Now, she's stopped in the Empire, having run low on both leads and coin.

    This for her dialogue.

    Appearance

    Height: 6'4"

    Eye Color: Dark grey

Facial Features: Strong jaw line with a long, prominent chin. High cheekbones only slightly wider than his jaw. Long, straight nose and deep set, piercing eyes

    Skin tone: Lightly Tanned

Scars: Long scar stretching from left ear to the tip of his chin. Several scars and burns on his back, arms and chest from the tortures inflicted by the Thalmor

    Tattoos or piercings: None

    Personality

Description: If there is one word that describes Marek, it's Stoic. He has made a habit of keeping his face neutral of any expressions that might give anyone an insight of what he may be thinking. As such, it is generally very hard to get a read on Mareks mood or what he may think about a given situation. He is very intelligent and is an extremely analytic thinker. He almost never takes anyone for their word, even among long time friends and he always thinks through every possible outcome of a situation. This isn't to say that he isn't trusting. Instead he is simply aware that people are imperfect and will have biases or perhaps not be as well informed as they may believe.

Temper: Low. He doesn't usually react to insults but if he sees something that he finds morally wrong or goes against his sense of honour he can be prone to violent outbursts or uncharacteristic displays of compassion

Outlook: Marek is somewhat cynical but due to his critical way of thinking, he tends to see the world for what it is and not what he or anybody else wants to believe it is. Therefore he generally lives in the moment and reacts as he thinks the situation at hand demands.

Major opinions: He hates the Thalmor and does everything he can to bring them to justice. He tends to view Vampires as evil creatures but he is more indifferent towards werewolves. Because he was tortured by means of Magic early in his life, he tends to have a general distrust of it and those who use it. However, he is not against using any and all tools at his disposal, be it enchanted weapons, potions, or poisons.

    Alignment: Neutral Good

Honor: High. Despite how many view him, Marek is a man ruled by his own code of ethics and morality. If he thinks something is dishonourable, he will state his mind and there is little anyone can do to dissuade him from his opinions.

Good traits: Moral, Self-disciplined, Extremely Intelligent

    Bad traits: Cunning, Ruthless, Sarcastic

Likes: 'Justice', good food, knowledge, exploring, coffee

Dislikes: un-ethical people, injustice, ignorant people

Habits: Often toys with his knife when bored. Sometimes clenches his right fist for no apparent reason. Cracking his knuckles

Goals: Although some might disagree with his methods, ultimately, Marek wants to do his part to make the world a better place. Short of that, his main goal in life is to see the Thalmor destroyed.

    Skills and Gear

Armor: Marek wears a lightweight set of custom made travel armor. This consists of a leather undershirt that extends to about mid thigh worn under a chainmail overshirt that reaches a few inches past that. Over this he wears a worn black leather coat, tied at the waist to prevent it getting in his way, that falls to about mid calf. On his feet he wears dark leather boots with a steel shin plate which is also painted a dark grey. His hands and forearms are covered by thick leather gloves and steel bracers the same colour as his shin guards. Over all of this he usually wears a drab brown travel cloak made of wool to help him blend in with the wilderness and protect him from the elements. He also carries a medium sized leather satchel under the cloak which he keeps his few personal items in.

Weather Clothes: In the face of adverse weather, Marek replaces his outer cloak with a heavier wool cloak trimmed and lined with black fur.

Weapons: On his left hip is a long, hand and a half sword with a wire and leather wrapped hilt. Running up the lower three quarters of the blade is a narrow blood groove. The very bottom, where the blade meets the hilt, is slightly narrower and flares out just as it runs into the grip. The whole weapon is just over three and a half feet long and tappers slightly as it gets closer to the tip where it cuts sharply to a strong point, easily able to pierce steel plate as well as flesh; he has dubbed his sword, 'Judicator'. On the opposite hip is a simple ten inch dagger. Both weapons are fastened on by a heavy leather arming belt. He also keeps a smaller, six inch knife tucked into the side of his right boot.

Fighting Style: Although he sometimes offers his skills as a sell-sword which require him to kill his targets, Marek is primarily a bounty hunter, meaning that most of his targets must be captured alive. This means that he has become a master of unarmed combat. Few people could hope to match him when things get up close and personal. His size gives him a brute force advantage over most smaller opponents, allowing him to easily shrug off lighter blows and end the fight quickly. For larger opponents, he utilizes hit and run tactics and never allows himself to get into a situation that he is not in complete control of. His analytic way of thinking shows itself in his fighting. When faced with a more skilled opponent, he often prefers to pick apart their weaknesses one by one rather than test himself against them directly. In a no win situation, he has been known to use poisons and dirty tactics in order to either win or at least escape to fight another day.

    His colour will be Orange

    Madrar

    The Shadow in the Dark.
    Name: Veridas Ashheart
    Gender: Male
    Race: Breton
    Alignment: Lawful evil
    Age: 28

    Marital Status: Single
    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual

    Class: Assassin

Combat Preference: Veridas is an assassin in many senses of the word. He prefers to take his targets by surprise, cutting them down before they have a chance to strike back. He is equally skilled with using a single weapon, or a weapon in both hands. He is a competent archer as well, but he prefers to do his killing up close. Utilizes an red bladed saber, and a jagged, steel dagger in his off hand.

Veridas has spent years among vampires, learning their strengths, and more importantly, their weaknesses. He is capable of matching blades with all but the most powerful of vampires, and takes full advantage of this. Because of this, most mortal fighters stand a poor chance against Veridas in one on one combat.

Though he is an assassin, Veridas will not shy from straightforward combat. He is an expert at close, hand to hand combat, though he'll resort to that only if he has no other options. Meticulous in his planning and carrying out of a job, most of the assassins targets are dead before they realize it. However, while Veridas can improvise well, he prefers to have the upper hand before commencing an attack. If caught off guard, it is likely he will flee, rather than fight. Veridas despises magic, and all who use it.

Weapons: A red bladed sabre, and a jagged, steel dagger.

Armour: very light chainmail, worn underneath his tunic. The rest of his apparel is included in the appearance section.

Appearance: Veridas stands at 5'10", has fair skin, for the most part unmarked by scars. The one notable mar is a burn scar that covers most of his right cheek. He has dark green eyes, and black hair. He has a neatly trimmed goatee, and mustache. Veridas, at first glance, is built more like a sprinter than a fighter. His wiry, thin form has often fooled would be opponents into a false sense of security.

Veridas wears a dark grey tunic, with a pair of black leather pants. Though these articles of clothing provide absolutely no protection in a fight, they add to the inconspicuous image Veridas strives to present. Underneath, he wears a very fine, light form of chainmail. Though the mail wouldn't hold up against any heavy fighting, it is sufficient to deflect two or three blows. Which is all Veridas really needs.

    Character Image:
    images

Personality: Veridas is extremely confident in his abilities. Though some might see that as a flaw, in truth, Veridas has no reason not to be confident. He's only once come across a target that he could not eliminate. Though not intentionally cruel, Veridas has no problems inflicting pain on others. Whether to get information, or simply to assure a witnesses silence. Though when it comes time to kill, he makes the death as swift and painless as he can. He is, after all, a professional.

Due to his traumatic childhood, Veridas doesn't trust anyone. He prefers to keep those he meets at arms length, preferably with one hand on his blade. He despises those that rely on drugs, such as skooma, believing that to handicap oneself with intoxicant is paramount to giving up on ones life. Though he does believe that gods exist, he doesn't think they have any real interest in mortals. Though not afraid of much, he has a deep rooted fear of mages, which he's turned into a hatred. He will never pass by a chance to cut down a mage, and will do so with all the more pleasure if he's paid for it.

Though he has no real problem with authority, he doesn't have much respect for them, either. He has no reservations about breaking the law. He'll bribe law enforcement if he can, eliminate them if he can't. Though he prefers not to kill those that aren't his target or mages, he won't lose sleep over it.

Likes: Success, Coins, having a battle plan laid out before hand

    Dislikes: Surprises, Vampires, and mages.

History: Raised in the slums of Jehanna, Veradis was raised solely by his mother. His father was a mage that abandoned his wife before Veridas was born.Though his mother did her best, she could only barely provide for the both of them. When he was eight, an entourage of mages passed through, lead by Veridas' father, she confronted him. Embarrassed by the sight of a poor, starving woman impeding the mages progress, he killed her.

Unknown to the mage, Veridas, his son, had witnessed the entire confrontation. Though young, Veridas' hatred against the man that had killed his mother was strong. After burying her, Veridas left Jehanna behind, and worked as a thief for a time. When a job went bad, Veridas defended himself and killed the home owner. As the years passed, Veridas amassed a small fortune, and left the thieves life behind.

Eventually, he discovered a freelance assassin, who taught him what he knew. By the time he was twenty, Veridas was a master in his own right. He'd developed a fearsome reputation, especially among mages. He killed his father after three years of tracking him across both High Rock and Skyrim. During his travels, Veridas decided that all mages were as corrupt and self centred as his father had been, and decided to eliminate as many as he could.

While staying in Falkreath, Veridas was approached by a man who offered him a job. The job was to eliminate a powerful vampiric sorcerer dwelling in the Bloodlet throne. Unknown to Veridas, the client was a vampire serving the very same vampire Veridas had been hired to kill. Veridas entered the castle, and was promptly ambushed by a pack of vampires. He managed to defeat several, and Salthar Vivarian, the lord of the coven and the Altmer vampire he'd been hired to kill, was impressed by his skill, and spared his life.

Veridas spent years living among the vampires, being sent to kill those that sought to undermined the coven. Though he was valuable, he was not trusted, and frequently treated as inferior. Eventually, Veridas came to hate the vampires of Bloodlet Throne. When on a job near Riften, he heard the Salthar himself was coming to the city of thieves. Seeing his chance to be free, he contacted the Dawnguard.

Though Salthar and his elite guard defeated the ambush, Vivarian found out that Veridas had been behind the ambush. Vampiric assassins chased Veridas across Skyrim. Seeking refuge, Veridas joined up with a different clan of vampires. Though he dislikes the vampires as much as he does any other, he prefers them to taking his chance on his own.

I think Veridas and Marek would get along fairly well if they can both trust enough to get to know each other.

    Name: Callig Stonefist

    Gender: Male

    Age: 40

    Race: Nord

    Alignment: Chaotic Good

    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual

    Marital Status: Single

    Class: Warrior/Berserker

Combat Preference: Callig prefers to charge into combat swinging. literally. He might not be very tall, but a man as heavily armoured as he is tends to inspire terror. Once in the melee, Callig uses his mace and spiked gauntlets, as well as some...unorthodox combaat tactics to get the job done.

Weapons: A mace that he places upon his most prized possessions. A pair of spiked gauntlets. Though the spikes are short, they're devastating in close combat in the right hands.

    images

Armour: Callig, like his brother Donath, wears a set of heavy steel armour, minus the helmet.

Appearance: Callig is short for a Nord, at only 5'5", but he makes up for it in sheer muscle. Years of battle have honed him into a warrior that can take as many hits as he can give out.His eyes area a pale blue, and his hair is a dark brown, and falls nearly to his shoulders. He has a large beard, braided with bronze clasps. Though he's rugged, he takes great care of his beard. It's one of his few prides, besides his armour and weaponry.

Personality: Callig is generally a nice guy. He's outgoing and friendly, unless you get on his bad side. He believes in most gods, but he, like his brother has no real love for Talos worshippers. He's compassionate, though you wouldn't know to look at him. However, he won't hesitate to get a little rough, if he needs to.

Likes: Making coin, if it's made it in an honest fashion. Women, and ale.

    Dislikes: Thieves, needless cruelty.

Biography: Callig, along with his brother Donath, was born and raised in the snowy province of Skyrim. When their parents were killed by bandits, both of them grew up. Fast. While his brother, Donath, joined up with Ulfric and his militia, Callig left Skyrim.

He didn't want to be stuck with the militia. He turned to mercenary work, first in Skyrim, then moving out to Cyrodiil. There he built his reputation, hunting down bandits, thieves, all sorts of rabble that the guards couldn't be bothered with.

Even though the Empire might be falling apart, Callig isn't too bothered by it. The Imperials are still paying, so he still works. If that changes, well...things'll be different.
