    TheShadedOne

    The Angry One
    It is the 220th year of the fourth era. The Second Great War has ended, in yet another stalemate, with the Dominion, lead by the Thalmor. Emperor Titus Mede III, lead the remnants of the Cyrodiilic Empire, against them. Both sides, reclaimed swathes of land in Valenwood, Hammerfell, and pockets of land in High Rock have sided with both factions. A wary peace has descended once more. Skyrim, recently independent after the bloody civil war, remains defiantly neutral.

    Various factions, criminal, mercenary, even mini-empires, have sprung up in the aftermath. These are uncertain times. Monsters, both human and otherwise roam the wilds in ever greater numbers, and those who live outside the walls of cities and castles have no guarantee of seeing the next dawn.

    In both the Empire, the Dominion, and the various independent kingdoms, crime runs rampant. With so many soldiers called to the newly drawn borders of both sides, very few remain behind to keep order. To compensate for this, city guards have been granted near limitless authority, beholden only to the lords of their towns and cities. "Mercy" is a word that falls on deaf ears more often than not. To make matters worse, many of these 'lawmen' are corrupt in the extreme, turning a blind eye to the crimes of the nobility, and exacting brutal 'justice' on those less well connected.

    Many in the Empire have voice their support for these men, however, clamouring for the extinction of the degenerates that prowl the streets of their fair land. However, some may still have a use for these 'degenerates'.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Okay, first off, huge shoutout to @Madrar for helping with the intro. Secondly, welcome to my newest rp, co-lead by @Drahkma
    More importantly, we'll be using Madrar's template for the setting, which I tried to point out in my 'IC' description of events. The second war between the Thalmor and the Empire is over, and surprise, surprise, anther draw. Background info can be found on Madrars' wiki, or, I guess you can ask him if you want further clarification.
    Rules
    No overpowered characters, weapons, armours or spells will be allowed. For those of you that don't know what that is, overpowered is basically a character, or any of the above mentioned things that can wipe out armies, or prevent the wearer from any type of harm, or one-shot a powerful enemy, like a giant or boss type character. Obviously, unfair to everyone else, no?
    Proper spelling/grammar is a must. Self-explanatory, I think.
    Experienced writers wanted. Not so much a rule, but I'd prefer writers who have at least some experience under their belts. You don't need to have participated in a RP here, but I will need at least one 'sample' paragraph.
    Readers/participants beware this is an 18+ story. That means sex,gore,and swearing are all possible. You've been warned.
    No scripting. Don't assume control of other writers characters. It's fine if they've given their consent.
    Active Be active. By this I mean post at least once a week. If something comes up, let us (Drahkma,Madrar, or myself,) know in the OOC. (That's here.) If you disappear, there's a good chance your character will be removed/killed off.
    No 'white knights' None of these guys. Your character doesn't need to be a maniacal mass murderer, he doesn't even need to be evil. But white knights/ pure 'good guys' won't fit into this story. If you think you can make it work, go for it, but you've been warned.
    Character Limits If you can handle two characters, go for it. I'm going to call two characters per person the max. Otherwise it gets a little messy.
    Character Deaths Not so much a rule. But this will happen. Probably.
    TheShadedOne
    The Angry One
    Name: Ylinia Elendrien.
    Known to everyone as the 'Dancing Viper'
    Race: Altmer
    Gender: Female
    Age: 75, looks to be in her early to mid twenties, because of her race.
    Marital Status: in a relationship with Kyros Bloodhand
    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
    Appearance:
    Ylinia is a thin altmer woman, and standing at only 5'5", is considered short, for her race. Her skin is more bronze than the gold of most high elves. Her hair is blonde, and falls to her shoulders, framing a narrow face with full lips, and a thin nose. Her eyes are a bright green, that seem to gleam with a cunning intelligence.
    She's well muscled from her years of fighting, but is by no means heavy set. Her breasts are large enough to draw the eye, but she doesn't exactly stick out like a sore thumb in a crowd. She has unique tattoos on her face, though their meaning is unclear to all but her. She also has a pair of scars, that add a dangerous appeal to her features, rather than ruin them.
    Class: Assassin,bladedancer
    Combat Preference:
    Ylinias' preferred method of killing is to stalk her prey from afar, before launching a devastating, lightning strike. She lives up to her name as the Dancing Viper as her fighting style resembles more an elaborate dance, rather than actual combat. If the blades themselves don't kill, the virulent poison she coats each dagger in will. Death always comes to her targets, whether it be quick and painless, or lingering and agonizing.
    Furthermore, because of the years she's spent working with poisons, she has developed an immunity of sorts, light, but enough to keep her in a fight rather than succumbing. One of her favourite tactics, is to secret a small amount of poison in her mouth, appear unarmed, to draw a target in, before spitting into the victims eye, much like the serpents of Hammerfell and Elsweyr.
    Specialty: Ylinia specialties include close quarters fighting, and mixing virulent poisons to bring down her targets.
    Weapons: A pair of unique elven daggers, (pic incoming.) along with various poisons. Able to use her hands and feet to disable enemies in close combat.
    Armour: Overlapping, finely wrought chainmail,tight enough to leave very little to the imagination, but great at turning aside slashing blows.
    Miscellaneous gear: A pair of earrings, that hold some sentimental value for the elven assassin.
    Personality: Ylinia covers her true nature with a facade of kindness, but beneath her alluring smile, and easy laugh, lies the heart of a predator. She will happily betray her 'allies', if it means her odds of survival will go up. It's been said that the same poison she uses on her blades runs in her veins, such is her predisposition for betrayal. She takes a casual approach to sex, though friendships and loyalty mean little.
    Positive Traits: Cautious, cunning, quick thinker, persuasive.
    Negative Traits: Treacherous, cold, slightly overconfident.
    History: Ylinia was not always a cold blooded killer. For several years, she lived in the former imperial province of Hammerfell, not as a merchant or sailor, but prostitute. It wasn't an uncommon profession in the streets of Hammerfells cities, but it was her race that marked her out.
    High elves weren't exactly welcome in the desert kingdom. It was only due to her keen sense of self-preservation, and skill as a lover that kept her from being chased from the cities entirely.
    It was only when a customer took it a little too far, that Ylinia first tasted violence. She killed the man, but rather than being horrified by her actions, she found that she liked it. From then on, she lured her victims, before killing them, and taking whatever coin they happened to have on them.
    Obviously, the guard eventually caught onto her actions, and she was forced to flee. As she grew older, Ylinia found those those willing to train her in path of an assassin. Over the years, she travelled from Skyrim to Elsweyr, gaining skills as she went. By the end of the second great war, she was a master assassin, using her blades as well as her body to get to her targets.
    Dashing Imperial Officer.
    Nice. I'll start working on Kyros' CC.
    Drahkma
    Dashing Imperial Officer.
    Name: Kyros Duenfeure, commonly known as Kyros Bloodhand.
    Race: Breton-Vampire
    Gender: Male
    Age:113, appears to be in his early 30's.
    Marital Status: In a relationship with Ylinia Elendrien
    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
    Appearance: Kyros is well over six feet. His broad shoulders and well muscled form make him a striking and intimidating figure even out of his armour. His upper torso is covered with scars, a testament to the battles and wars he has survived.
    Despite being a vampire, Kyros eyes maintain their deep blue colouration, and his face, unlike the faces of those northern, Volkihars, remains much the same as it was in life, thin brows, a strong jaw, and an aquiline nose give him the visage of a noble from times long past.
    Class: Bloodknight.
    Combat Preference: Kyros is a melee monster, happily wading into combat, even when badly outnumbered. He uses his longsword, Razor as his only weapon. He frequently outclasses his enemies, especially the standard enemies, like bandits, guardsmen and the occasional vampire hunter.
    However, these are not the fights Kyros truly 'lives' for. He seeks worthy opponents, and even after decades of fighting, those fights are rare and far between. Much to the vampires' disappointment.
    Specialty: Close quarters combat, duelist.
    Weapons: Razor, his longsword.
    Armour: Steel plate, worn from many battles but still effective.
    Miscellaneous gear: A dark,hooded cloak, that he wears when travelling incognito.
    Personality: Over a century of fighting has left Kyros a sarcastic, callous individual. However, he does show some concern for his allies. If they've proven themselves. He will, however, turn on them, if he sees' them act cowardly or without honour.
    Positive Traits: Honourable, loyal (to a point), persevering
    Negative Traits:
    Vicious, bloodthirsty,
    History: Kyros was not always the bloody handed warrior he is now. In fact, before the first great war, he was a breton knight of no small renown. However, his duties pulled him away from his homeland to fight in the war, where he contracted vampirism.
    Predictably, when he returned home, he was not the same. He not only thirsted for the blood of the living, but sought an honourable opponent to fight. Whether he seeks an end to his 'condition' or merely a good death, is his secret. Whatever the case, he left High Rock behind, and has been hunted by vampire slayers for months, if not years. His relationship with Ylinia means he'll stay by her side, for the opportunity to face a worthy foe, if nothing else.
    Kharjiir Aohin
    26
    Cathay-Raht Khajiit
    The Steed
    Personal Information
    Appearance:
    There is a reason why Cathay-Rahts are the first into battle. Standing roughly 7ft 4 inches tall and weighing over 300lbs, Kharjiir is always a site to be seen. Born wardriven, only the Skyforge could create steel stronger than the bones of this brute. With hands like bear paws, a swat from his claws can engrave markings in stone. The moons destined him to be the bearer of weight where the weak tremble. Gladly he takes this responsibility. He is a bulky figure, not shredded but carrying a healthy layer of fat on his body while still keeping an athletic look. His arms are thick and solid, hardened over the years of fighting and lifting. His legs are round like tree-trunks, immovable and rooted in the earth where he stands. He doesn't look freakish for his height balances out his girth. However, he is a sore thumb in every crowd constantly drawing unwanted attention for his size.
    Personality:
    Kharjiir is a curious one, which in turn gets him in trouble. Wandering off on his own often, the beast loves to be lonesome with himself. The setting of Skyrim is a lofty one for those whose hearts request adventure. Kharjiir wishes he could be an adventurer, yet he is incapable of sustaining himself without the aid of the caravan. Many don’t take kindly to Khajiit, and so the saying goes “the bigger they are the harder they fall.” In getting to know him, you have a better chance at learning more about his knuckles than his personality. Be wary when confronting him as well, for he doesn’t take anything lightly. Very respect oriented, so look him in the eyes and speak clearly or else you already put yourself on the “not-welcome” list. Rough talker as well, using intimidation to get his point across most of the time. Given his menacing appearance combined with his confidence, fear is not something that plagues him, meaning he can get himself in sticky situations unknowingly. On the outside, appears rough edged and stiff. His trust issues make him a tough fellow to really get to know, but truly he is sweet at heart and deeply fond of those he cares for.
    Sexuality:
    Heterosexual
    Status:
    Single
    Occupation:
    Kharjiir travels with a Khajiit caravan across the roads of Skyrim; however, he can leave whenever he pleases.
    Affiliations:
    None
    Positive Traits:
    Sense of humor through rough times, Tolerant of people he likes, great companion, loves adventure, very defensive of himself and those he likes, always will return the favor
    Negative Traits:
    Not fully trustworthy, curiosity killed the cat, anger issues, fears nothing, short attention span; easily distracted (why takes walks to gather his thoughts)
    Likes:
    Night, Adventure, arguing, challenges, drinking by himself, long walks to clear his mind
    Dislikes:
    Nords, stormcloaks, empire, argonians, ancient ruins, people who talk to fast, large bodies of water, trolls, heat
    History:
    (In the workings)
    Voice:
    I imagine him sounding like James Earl Jones. If you don’t know that voice then you haven’t lived (Darth Vader, Mufasa, etc). Very deep tone.
    Class Information
    Barbarian
    Major Skills:
    Hand-to-Hand
    Light armor
    Two-Handed
    Minor Skills:
    Block
    Speech
    One-handed
    Inventory:
    two-handed silver long-sword
    Fur Armor (optional chest cuirass, usually without upper body covered)
    Fur Gauntlets
    Fur Boots
    Silver Emerald Necklace
    Brown Fur Bag for carrying
    Wood Cutting axe
    Torch
    Single fur tent and bedding
    Style:
    Kharjiir always begins a fight with his hands, and if unable to end it with his hands resorts to his great longsword to finish the job. He can wield the weapon with one hand or both. When using both he acquires much better accuracy; however, when using one it leaves his other hand available to deal as much damage as possible yet limiting his maneuverability. His fur armor isn’t much for armor but to keep him warm which his already dense fur provides. He doesn’t like the cumbersome weight added through heavy armor, and prefers his ability to be rather agile for a large brute, of course relative to the skilled fighter he may not be as quick. His knowledge in fighting isn’t nearly in depth to that of the experience fighter; however, when it takes one palm to knock a heavy-set Nord on his rear then you don’t really need much knowledge or experience. His only experiences with combat are those endured while travelling Skyrim’s harsh roads, which has given him a cold shoulder and decent fight in him. Plenty a bandit and creature he has slayed through the past 3 years of caravanning, plenty more to come. He is weak against the nimble and those who use magic, strong against the fellow warrior.
    Magic:
    None
    Sample post:
    “This one does not have an appetite!” the beast shouted, shoving away the grilled salmon forked in his face. His traveling partners were lucky enough to not have to worry when irritating him, even making a game out of pestering the brute. Each time Kharjiir gave into their wishes a point was earned. Kyata, the only female khajiit belonging to the caravan currently held the highest score. “Kyata, for the last time this one is not hungry!” he pleaded gripping her slender arm within his enormous hand and forcing it away from his face. He did not apply enough pressure to cause any injury. In the case he did, she’d easily have a mangled arm. One thing they’d all learned while journeying with this menacing behemoth is once he has his hands on you, it’s over.
    I may be interested but I would very much prefer to use my own template. If you would consider it I have some examples of past characters in my blog and in my signature.
    So long as your CC covers everything brought up in the template, I'll be happy.
    Also, I've messaged Stormy, Bane, and Aethalia, to see if they might be interested.
    Madrar
    The Shadow in the Dark.
    Name: Soren Crowe
    Race: Imperial
    Gender: Male
    Age: 35
    Marital Status: Single
    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
    Appearance: Soren Crowe cuts an athletic figure, hardly appearing the warrior he is. He is much paler than the standard Imperial, leding to some questions as to whether he is actually a vampire.
    He has short black hair, grey-blue eyes,thin brows, and is, usually, clean shaven, though this may change, if he spends long amounts of time in the wilderness or hostile environments. He has no tattoos to speak of, and few scars, the largest of which stretches across his stomach, clearly from a savage blow, meant to disembowel him.
    Class: Ranger
    Combat Preference: Given the choice, Crowe will always choose to pick his enemies off from afar, using his longbow. He is an excellent marksman, and few enemies ever close to a swords reach.
    Should the enemy reach him, he relies on his longsword, and a conservative, disciplined style to dispatch them. As a last resort, he has a dagger, but considers himself in dire straits if he must resort to that.
    All said and done, he is an expert archer, a fairly skilled swordsman, but suffers at extremely close range, or against a group of enemies.
    Specialty: Having been a ranger for nearly a decade, Soren is a master scout, tracker, and, in combat situations, he is ideal for picking off enemy leaders or dangerous foes.
    Weapons: A longbow, longsword, and dagger
    Armour: A mixture of chainmail and dark leather, with high boots, and fingerless gauntlets. He wears a dark, hooded cloak, in order to blend in both outside and in the darkness of city nights.
    Miscellaneous gear: A simple gold ring on his left hand.
    Personality: Soren came come off as cold to those he's unfamiliar with, and during the brief amount of time he spends with them, it is unlikely he will thaw. However, he can be unexpectedly compassionate to those less fortunate, but he will quickly dismiss his actions if confronted about them.
    Most importantly, Crowe is a pragmatist. He will weigh the gains against the losses before engaging in battle, if he can. Should the situation turn against him, he won't hesitate to sacrifice those that see him as an ally. This has lead to him acquiring somewhat of a jaded attitude towards most 'gung-ho adventurers, feeling that their lives are measured in days, if not hours.
    Despite this, should a potential ally prove themselves, he will prevent harm from coming to them if he can. Soren has some lines he will not cross, including causing collateral damage or harming of innocents. He holds nothing but contempt for those who cross those boundaries.
    Positive Traits: Cares for the weak, generally honest, capable ally. Avoids collateral damage.
    Negative Traits: Willing to sacrifice others for his own sake. Overly cautious.
    History: (Work in progress)
    Text colour: The usual.
    I'll be writing a second cc tomorrow.
    The Shadow in the Dark.
    Probably waiting on me. I did promise a second character. Will be up in an hour or so.
    Madrar
    The Shadow in the Dark.
    Name: Caiden Soricus
    Race: Imperial
    Gender: Male
    Age: 21
    Marital Status: Single
    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
    Appearance: Caiden is a frail looking man, with little muscle to speak of, and this shows, when one looks upon the imperial out of his robes. His eyes, a deep blue, are sunken into his head, and his fingers are skeletal. He has short, hazel coloured dark hair, and very pale skin, caused by spending as much time indoors, among dusty tomes and scrolls. He is of average height for an Imperial, though, as mentioned he has no bulk to his height.
    Class: Mage (technically)
    Combat Preference: Caiden prefers to avoid confrontation whenever possible. When a fight is unavoidable, he can casts some flame and lightning based spells, but he is by no means a master wizard. He relies on more powerful allies to do the front line fighting for him, while throwing spells in support...or more likely, looking for an escape.
    Weapons: A thin, steel dagger, hidden under his robe, in case of emergencies.
    Armour: None.
    Miscellaneous gear: Simple robes as every day wear, sturdy boots, (though not adequate for combat, ),and a simple cloth tunic and pair of pants.
    Personality:
    Caiden is a nervous, shy person, often exposed to ridicule and scorn by his peers. He has subsequently withdrawn from human interaction, preferring the company of ancient scrolls and books. When he does speak, it's with a tentative stutter, and he almost always avoids eyecontact. His one passion is history, predictably, and he will be more than happy to share with those who ask.
    Positive Traits:
    Curious, literate, cautious
    Negative Traits:Withdrawn, stutters, caution occasionally teeters over to paranoia.
    History: Will be revealed as the RP progresses.
    Text colour: Yellow.
    ame: Callig Stonehand
    Gender: Male
    Age: 40
    Race: Nord
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
    Marital Status: Single
    Class: Warrior/Berserker
    Combat Preference: Callig prefers to charge into combat swinging. literally. He might not be very tall, but a man as heavily armoured as he is tends to inspire terror. Once in the melee, Callig uses his mace and spiked gauntlets, as well as some...unorthodox combat tactics to get the job done.
    Weapons: A mace that he places upon his most prized possessions. A pair of spiked gauntlets. Though the spikes are short, they're devastating in close combat in the right hands.
    images
    Armour: Callig, like his brother Donath, wears a set of heavy steel armour, minus the helmet. A flexible shirt of chainmail and leather cover the joints, allowing reasonable
    Appearance: Callig is short for a Nord, at only 5'5", but he makes up for it in sheer muscle. Years of battle have honed him into a warrior that can take as many hits as he can give out.His eyes area a pale blue, and his hair is a dark brown, and falls nearly to his shoulders. He has a large beard, braided with bronze clasps. Though he's rugged, he takes great care of his beard. It's one of his few prides, besides his armour and weaponry.
    Personality: Callig is generally a nice guy. He's outgoing and friendly, unless you get on his bad side. He believes in most gods, but he, like his brother has no real love for Talos worshippers. He's compassionate, though you wouldn't know to look at him. However, he won't hesitate to get a little rough, if he needs to.
    Likes: Making coin, if it's made it in an honest fashion. Women, and ale.
    Dislikes: Thieves, needless cruelty.
    Biography: Callig, along with his brother Donath, was born and raised in the snowy province of Skyrim. When their parents were killed by bandits, both of them grew up. Fast. While his brother, Donath, joined up with Ulfric and his militia, Callig left Skyrim.
    He didn't want to be stuck with the militia. He turned to mercenary work, first in Skyrim, then moving out to Cyrodiil. There he built his reputation, hunting down bandits, thieves, all sorts of rabble that the guards couldn't be bothered with.
    Even though the Empire might be falling apart, Callig isn't too bothered by it. The Imperials are still paying, so he still works. If that changes, well...things'll be different.
    His colour will be this.
    Stormmaiden
    Active Member
    Name: Alethera Irinwe
    Race: Dunmer
    Gender: Female
    Age: 79, appears early 20's.
    Marital Status: Single
    Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
    Appearance: Alathera is of standard height for a dunmer woman, with dark hair, that falls to her shoulders. Her skin is a pale grey, slightly lighter than most of her kind but people don't notice it as most of the time, all but her hands and face are covered under her robes. Her most unique feature, by far, is her eyes. One is the standard red of a dark elf, while the other is a dark grey, the colour of stone.
    37d2744eae7936d5c508734df8e70cf7.jpg
    Class: Pyromancer.
    Combat Preference: Alatheras' first step, when she begins a fight, is to throw up a flame cloak, bathing herself in a defensive shell. With any immediate threats kept back with the threat of burning alive she will focus on ranged combat, striking with bolts of fire and the occasional fireball. Of course, this is extremely draining, so she prefers to keep fights short, if at all possible. Once her magic is exhausted, she will be easy prey for opposing mages, or warriors.
    Weapons: None. Relies on magic.
    Armour: None. Unless robes count.
    Miscellaneous gear: A dark cloak, with a broach that allows for limited levitation. She can transfer this to those she is sharing physical contact with.
    Personality: Mischievious, and friendly, Alathera is always ready to make friends. However, perhaps because of her close affiliation to fire, she can become hot headed and irrational quickly. When like this, it's unlike she's going to listen to reason of any kind, and those who stand in her way are likely to bear the brunt of her wrath.
    Positive Traits: Friendly, light hearted, caring.
    Negative Traits: Hot headed, vengeful, can cause unintentional collateral damage.
    History: -I'll build on this as we go.-
