    Maybe not resist magic, but I think what he meant by elemental resists was fire/frost/shock, which could go on his boots, amulet, or rings :)

    Probably a dumb question... but have you tried talking to Brynolf just to see what he wants you to do? it could be that you do the first quest for him and it's fine - although it would be mega glitchy if that was the case >_<.     Are you playing PC or Xbox?? I've tried dropping individual things on Xbox, and it takes so long to scroll down how many you want to take out/drop that I get bored :( and a few thousand coins laying on my bed would be amazing, until the house glitch causes them to end up all over the place :P

    But if you pull out the binoculars, scout the area/look around, enjoy the view or look for enemies... Then if you see something pull your bow out try and hit it or sneak up on them or avoid them. I don't think it could be used as a scope?
