    Power level alchemy?

    I'm playing the silliest char...hes first an alchemist, 2nd a merchant...have 98 alchemy at lvl 25, all money spent on speech training, so similar...quite a fun ride, as combat skills are somewhat lacking ..and i dont believe in followers lol :)

    Made me wonder today on my first run through Ustengrav [with this char]......how on earth did Delphine ever place that note? She doesn't have Whirlwind Sprint...and the exit after the Giant Spider is completely sealed with webbing? Does she have a teleporter?

    The whole `Laid To Rest` quest is pretty dark to say the least...especially the Child saying that the vampire wanted to turn her so that she could `play with her forever`....very gothic...

    My current fav...snipe kill bandit #1.....bandit #2 `Is someone there` [wanders over to body] `I'm going to find whoever did this!` [5 seconds later] ...`Oh it must have been my imagination`.... WHAT do they put in the mead, or maybe even the Sweet Rolls, and could I have some for next weekend...

    Good points, thanks guys...however I intended to do an absolute solo mage, no followers no conjuring...destruction and alteration only, no illusion...LOL...thats probably a bit too masochistic

    Picked Up Skyrim again, having fun, created a destruction/alteration mage....but aren't mages just the poorman, compared to a fighter or stealth build...The destruction spells do so little damage, and yes I know about spell reduction costs, but with so little room for error [using Impact even]...

    Volskygge, if you go in at lowish mid lvl...The final Boss Draugh can be almost impossible...oh and then you get a Dragon Priest for good measure...It's a long haul dungeon too... Forelhost as someone above mentioned is pretty equal in difficulty, because you get several places where multiple...

    Try a pure mage, destruction and illusion, no conjuring, no hired help, robes only, no shield spells, absolutely no fast travel, Expert or Master lvl. Only then do you see the early necessity of Illusion spells. An Ice Wolf (for example) can easily kill you before you can kill it in the early...
