    If your character is a Nord, and you die, you will return to Sovngarde. I managed to steal a roasted Ox leg while I was there, but it shows up in my Misc. Inventory, not my Food Inventory, so I can't eat it.

    advice to new players

    I have cleared out places while wandering around, and then received quests to go back and found those places re-populated. I have also done radiant quests for the Companions that cleared out places that were later re-visited for specific quests.
