    pickpocket is a nice skill but the fact that you can save before you pickpocket makes the skill less needed but not useless. The extra carrying capacity and poisoned perks ad nice

    it's a good skill for thieves. Invisibility for the obvious reasons. And calm is useful when you get caught pickpocketing or doing any other crime.     yes but there is an item you get in the thieves guild called the skeleton key with is a key that unlocks any doors, well technically it's a lock pick that NEVER breaks. So there is no point in improving your lock picking skill because that item makes almost every perk in the lock picking skill...
