you can justify smithing for a character who's going to get to level 81 anyway because the majority of their time will be spent playing after level 50, but most people don't bother to do that. If you don't use smithing, and unless you get lucky with chests, ebony armor isn't available from...
unless you're playing on higher difficulties smithing messes with the balance of the game. The weapons and armor available to your character in loot and from merchants scale based on your character level, so it stays balanced. Smithing throws off that balance by letting you get access to high...
if you're worried about dragons you can always avoid starting the main quest for a while. Dragons won't spawn until you kill the whiterun dragon, so if you just never do it you won't have to worry about dragons. Not very glamorous, but gives you time to think about the build and develop it as...
Easy solution for every build = No smithing! It took me 40 levels to reach a 400 armor rating and by then my character is basically done anyway. Similar to #2, but I think it's ok to buy things from merchants too.
I like one hand and shield for a warrior in all rpgs cause I value defense over offense. In Skyrim you can dual wield too, so try all 3 and see which feels best for you.
Personally I don't like dual wield because I run out of stamina very quickly and then feel like I have two wet noodles in my...
The AD is pretty much universally hated, the "allies" just don't want to get wiped out and would rather live under the rule of the AD than to not live at all. As far as why they're powerful...uh...have you fought mages in this game?
This, the AD and the Empire can't risk over extending their troops for fear of being counter attacked by the other when they're weakest. And Skyrim isn't a provence like Cyrodiil, it doesn't offer a ton in terms of strategic military advantage. The risk v reward isn't there...
It'd be like the...
I'm not expecting they speak like the other races. I'm just saying having 90% of conversations with Khajiit would get annoying. Pull the stick out of your ass.
Haha, this is good. I'm biased and I'd tell you to join the dawnguard no matter what build. I'm playing an illusion centered character so it'd make sense to join the vamp cause, but I still can't bring myself to do it. I'm just waiting til my illusion skill gets high enough where I can get...
dawnguard. Not being able to regenerate health/stamina as a vampire in daylight would hurt as a 2 handed warrior and if you're doing enough damage with a 2 handed build you won't get much use out of vamp lord other than as a novelty.
Try turning the difficulty up if it's not already and just explore on foot. Exploration can be a lot of fun and even more so if you a feel bit vulnerable. If it's not your cup of tea you can play around with skills you haven't used a whole lot to get an idea for a new character that specializes...
I couldn't find this question asked....I found a lot of questions asking of armsman applies to daggers and it seems the answer is yes. What I'm wondering is how it applies to sneak damage?
The assassin's blade perk gives daggers 15x normal damage. So, for easy math, let's say I have a dagger...
Haha, it just feels like all the drama in the Elder Scrolls universe happens in the lore between games so they can say "this is how it happened and no you can't change anything." I agree the war makes for a nice backdrop and adds to the environment (Skyrim feeling war-torn is a great effect)...
Making the game focus on the war as the main quest line presents problems. These games have always been doing what you want when you want. Forcing one side to be the winner alienates half the gamers. The civil war works in Skyrim because it's going on in the background and adds some depth to the...
One problem I could see with the game taking place in Black Marsh or Elswyer, is that having to put up with conversations with 90% of NPCs that are Argonian or Khajiit would get annoying very quickly. Haha, I think their accents and dialect would get very grating after a few hours...
