    Can't find valdimar

    I had the same issue. When I became thane I had Lydia with me as follower. I purchased property and traveled there, built the small house and returned to Morthal to retrieve Valdimar to use as steward but he was nowhere to be found. Eventually I had to reload a save prior to becomming thane...
