Anyone got advice for someone new to the Assassin playstyle?

It's not boring on your first run as an assassin character. But I liked your suggestions as they are very much in keeping with the RP aspect. Nightingale is perfect for 'dungeon' mission exploration. But I also use normal clothes for scripted assassin missions. My current character is a witch...

Anyone got advice for someone new to the Assassin playstyle?

As an alternative, my Assassin avoided taking all archery skills, you really only need Overdraw 5/5 and Crit Shot 3/3. If you need to paralyze your target, get extra arrows or need to zoom in/slow time, well frankly you are a crap assassin. I agree with all Stealth perks though. You could save...

    PS3 FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Then take a look at this for a completely non-biased account: Head2Head: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Analysis (PS3 vs Xbox 360)

    PS3 FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Absolute nonsense. I have seen it on both consoles and there is no significant difference, If anything the PS3 has the edge.

    PS3 FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

That's a nice bit of tech-speak. But are you seriously proposing that a console that runs Skyrim perfectly adequately cannot handle a relatively short add-on? I'm not buying that, I'm afraid.

Khajiit / Argonian werewolves freak me out

I totally agree with you. But it is a *SPOILER!* Quest thing... The inner circle companions are all non-beast and the wolf thing is in their blood. But yeah, a giant croc Argonian or huge lion Khajiit would have been a nice bonus. I never play as 'were' as a non-human/mer character for exactly...

    PS3: No Dawnguard?

Sony does, but it's a clever marketing game. Rocksteady for example have a deal for the Arkham games. Anyone remember how pissed off Xbox gamers were with the PS3 exclusive content? I admit, my earlier post was a little bit aggressive, but this kind of thing does make people angry. I'd never buy...

    PS3: No Dawnguard?

I worked in the industry for four years and am amazed this 'PS3 is harder to program for' myth is still around. The machine is technically superior to the X360 and is more than capable of running bloody dawnguard! Plus, do you really think Bethesda are going to cancel it on the grounds that...

    PS3 FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Here we go again :) I had to go through this with the Fallout 3 DLC bollocks as well. You see, by Todd bending over for Mr Gates and taking it a few times up the ass he gets a lot of money. But not so much as releasing the DLC for Playstation. Hell, during Fallout, Microsoft even gagged the gimp...

    Hardcore: Punishments for Death

If you die, you have to wear those uncomfortable underpants from the Da Vinci Code for 2 hours real time and then read 5 pages of 50 Shades of Grey.

    Hardcore: Punishments for Death

I know, it just seems a bit silly to me. If you die, your dead, why is selling your stuff or doing things you don't want to do fun? In what way does it make any sense at all? I can understand players making challenges for themselves by limiting their equipment etc, but punishing themselves for...

    Hardcore: Punishments for Death

I'm with Psi on this, you wanna play hardcore? Die and you start over. That's it. Or even better, ultra-hardcore (if your character dies, you can never play the game again). Or even ULTIMATE hardcore, if you die you have to kill yourself.

    Potatoes

We have a lot to be thankful for in the humble potato. It allowed much easier long distance sea journeys. The world would be very different with out it's benign influence. I always honour it by eating bread, potatoes salmon and troll fat (Fish 'n' chips).

    Fun Character Creation Ideas

This is going to sound really obvious but the key is practice and patience, it usually takes me about 2 and a half hours to get my character just right. My first few characters looked pretty bad too, now I'm always happy with the way they turn out. The two bits of advice I would give is not to...

    Fun Character Creation Ideas

It's also a good idea to pour yourself a rum (I mean a cup of tea) and really spend some time on the character creation process. When you get your guy or girl looking just right, things seem to fall into place.

    Fun Character Creation Ideas

My advice would be to start with the game turned off. Let your imagination go a bit, don't think about perks. Imagine different races, picture them in your mind, imagine how they look. If you are well versed in lore, start thinking about that, most importantly think of a name, it's the most...

Hi I'm Raijin, and I'm a mageolic. ADDICTION!

I used to do that too! Max buff is great for heavy/2-Handers but looks weird on light/1-Handed thief/assassin characters. I now hover just above average, the body type suits both quite well. Muscular and lean as opposed to steroid/gym membership characters.

Is ignoring Enchanting to roleplay the "pure" Warrior worth it?

What do you mean by 'pure' warrior? Do you mean only choosing perks that come under the warrior constellations? If so, why not enchanting? It's a warrior skill, it's all about improving weapons and armour. And your warrior won't be calling sneaking silly when 10X Dagger damaged is coming his way...
