I'm going to stick with the original question. There are probably hundreds of mods that I could recommend for both graphics and content but that wasn't what you asked for.
In my opinion, the best mod (that I use) for new content is:
Interesting NPCs
It adds many, many new npcs to Skyrim each...
I've always helped him if my character bothered to stop to talk to him. I figured a really evil person wouldn't be bothered to stop and a person good enough to go talk to the farmer on his behalf would push for the help (seeing how they don't give an option to fix the wagon yourself). It was...
I've had issues with Frostfall and script lag previously. I'm not using it at the moment because of said lag and because I like to wander.
I'm currently running around 100 mods (including epic game play overhauls and CoT [along with several of the mods that accompany it]) without any...
It's so obvious...
They simply cut their tail off and sit down. When they are done sitting they stand up and regenerate their tail over a period of several months.

Summary - Hilarious, superbly well-written follower, although a bit overpowered.
I heard about Inigo through a couple of Top Mod lists. I'm not much on followers but a Khajiit is generally fun to have around (Qa'Dojo from Interesting NPCs is a...
I'm currently using SPERG so there are benefits to leveling anything (automatic perks). However, in the past these are the items I tend to not level:
Illusion - I want to love it but I just can't stand it's passivity.
Heavy/Light Armor - They level too slow to be useful.
Speech - levels while...
I've used Live Another Life for quite some time now so I haven't ridden in the cart for a while. But in the past the worst I have seen was the cart hit a rock and nearly flip on it's side before correcting itself. Minor compared to those listed above.
I've also had Alduin fail to perform the...
Because power corrupts. They have immense power. By removing themselves from the affairs of the world they attempt to stave off that corruption. I think it is like in the Lord of the Rings where the wisest refuse the ring even though it is offered to them. They understand that, even with the...
Hailing from France perhaps, but with English origins. And I find the Welsh more compelling then the French.

Under the "Real-World Connections" section.
I made a Breton spell-sword last night. I try to give Bretons Welsh sounding names (generally stemming from my love of the Prydain Chronicles). I accidentally stumbled on a real name. I named him Merwynn, kind of going for something close but not too close to Merlin.
I just looked it up and...
Funny, I use Steam all the time without problem. My copy of Skyrim is through Steam as are most of my games. I'm sure some people have issues, as would occur with any company with as many customers as they have but my experience has been nothing but pleasant.
I use the Nexus (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/) along with their mod manager. You can use Steam (if you bought Skyrim through them) but they have a limit on the size of mods so you probably wouldn't have as big of a selection.
If you use the nexus and their mod manager (NMM) most mod...
I tend to role-play it. If my character has no qualms about sentencing human souls to the cairn then he goes with the Black Star. If he is a bit more scrupulous he will go the other way. I've had a character who claimed it just to lock it away (he also collected soul gems to prevent them from...
Discovering new things. . .
I ran into the Aspiring Mage for the first time a couple weeks ago. I've only ever seen the headless horseman once (probably because I tend to have my characters sleep at night).
Creating new characters. . .
I know it's bad but I have real trouble sticking with a...
