Spoiler Was "Lost for the Ages" meant to be in the main game?

Does anyone know if Bethesda originally developed the whole Aetherium Forge lengthy series of quests to be part of the main game, but then delayed it to the DLC? Just wondering because it is sooooo awesome, but it has nothing really to do with Dawnguard? Or make any sense that they would invest...

Things we like and dislike about skyrim...

I like that the main quest was more streamlined and faster than Oblivion

In serious trouble as a vampire

You have to feed on sleeping npcs for blood, check the Skyrim wikis for how to do it. Good luck!

Xbox 360 I am new and need help :P

Fast travel anywhere and look behind you, you follower should be there. You can ask to part ways to get a new follower. If that doesn't work, did you stop a quest in the middle? Some quests give you followers.

    I'm a bloodsucker?

Yup you can cure it from a quest, and I think the cure might he permanent... You caught it from an enemy in a fight, there are a number of diseases you can pick up while fighting enemies. The game will flash you a status message that you contracted x disease, but the messages are easy to miss...

Do you spend your gold in Skyrim?

I stock up on the most useful alchemy ingredients (giants toe, luna wing, vampire dust etc) whenever I can buy them. Alchemy is a ridiculously easy way to make money for any kind of character if you learn the ingredients to a handful of the most valuable potions; you can take three ingredients...

Xbox 360 Leveling on adept compared to master (not how to level up fast)

I'm a warrior character too (now level 37) and I noticed too early on that doing quests alone and clearing dungeons won't level you up very quickly. The designers wanted all the crafting skill things to be just as important to your progress in the world. Whenever I took a quest break to do...

    Holy pl*ps Blackreach!

I like the Avatar scenery parts, very cool, but what's up with this new steampunk style? Killing metal machines was a weird detour from the rest of the settings and mythology. Felt like wandering into a different game and I am not a fan of picking through all the machine pieces, cogs etc that...

I just want to marry Brynjolf!

Whoa Skybella, hands off my blacksmith man in Rifkin! He's taken and what a catch, not only does he give me money everyday but also makes the tastiest Homecooked meals and trains me in Smithing :)

    If Skyrim had an Arena...

I miss the Arena! It was so easy in Oblivion to pocket a few thousand coins each week from taking down those minotaurs. I would like the chance to take down some frost trolls on a regular basis, man I hate those things so much after they killed my new player repeatedly, Avonlea is now a big bad...

most fun off the beaten path missions

I heard there is one that the devs based on The Hangover movie- I think it's the one you get from the drinking contest at the Inn in Whiterun. Haven't done it yet myself but could be worth checking out. Night to Remember. I thought the Bard College quests would be fun but the first one was...

Xbox 360 Anyone else seeing the dragon embedded in the ground in Whiterun?

For a while now, every time I visit Whiterun a weird dragon will be coming up through the ground in the main area between the blacksmith and the shops. It's not making any impact and the town folk go on as normal, I just jump over it like it's not there and cant interact with it or kill it. My...

HELP! followed main quest chain and got hated?

Sometimes it's hard to see the disease notices when you get infected. Activating any temple shrine in the main cities will clear all diseases anytime for free (cure disease potion will too for $). It's a good habit to get into, after every quest when you go to town to sell loot, stop by the...

what kind of a skyrim player are you?

I am a Nord warrior focusing on Heavy Armor, one handed, two handed, smithing, enchanting, and alchemy to make money on the side selling potions. Also am taking perks in lockpicking and speech for finding and selling loot. Rarely need to use magic except for shouts, Candlelight and clarivoyance...

about to be on an episode of hoarders

The chests are best for unlimited storage. Barrels, side tables etc I use for fewer items. Not saying this is a known issue, but better safe than sorry!

about to be on an episode of hoarders

True - and even in houses you own, you should visit once a week ingame time and check your storage items. Dont put too many things in one container either to spread the weight. In Oblivion I overstuffed my house and lost irreplaceable items. You can get rid of the 20lb Oblivion Scroll in your...

    sven or feadnal?

Well I have to stick up for my man Sven. Sure he may not be a trainer but he is a lot more fun to travel with on long trips with all his bard songs and stories, lol. He's not the strongest guy out there, but he has helped me take down dragons with his bow (which he stubbornly reverts to no...

about to be on an episode of hoarders

lol.... Hoarders! One of the smartest things you can do early is travel light and sell as much loot as you can right after every quest. Save up the money you earn to buy the house in Whiterun ASAP for storage ... The house is around 5000 I think and then maybe 2000 for the upgrades. Don't use...
