    It's an Alteration Spell called Candlelight. Useful as plops for me. My lighting mod makes night time a pain in the ass sometimes.

    Go to Dragon Bridge (Just Southwest of Solitude) and follow the road South. Stay on the road and it should be the second bridge. He's just chillen underneath.

    Good job. If you're a mage you're going to be using that hood for about 15-18 levels unless you get a really lucky score. It's a good hood despite its garmented noobism.

    Can I get by without archery?

    Well I know if you equip your sword and shield again the quiver will go away. I'm a magic user so I always have arrows on my back unless I equip the sword and shield on rare occasions. Even when I put them away unless I put my bow back on the arrows won't show back up.

    It's not a setting you input. It just pops up "Play Game" or "Cancel" when it tells you it can't connect to Steam. You are playing PC Skyrim clearly yes?

    There are a bunch of novice mages who wear them. Just find some random cave with mages in it, you'll find some.

    You can play offline you know....if you haven't yet connected to Steam you need that first time connection but after that you can choose to play offline...
