    Problem trading in Riverwood

    You can sell to Lucan. When you ask to buy, it'll have a menu of the different groups of items - scroll down and there's your name and item groups underneath it.

    It took me awhile to work it out, too. Just the button you normally grab stuff with, instead of hitting it once, you hold it.

    It just seems like everyone is just trying to level as fast as they can.

    Small crime is more tolerated

    I like how in Skyrim, as opposed to Oblivion that when you steal low value items the NPC will just say something and take it back. Instead of in Oblivion you could steal a spoon and have every guard coming after you. It's just more realistic, and better.

    Weapon selection

    I just go with a one-handed weapon (as powerful as I can get) and a shield. I love blocking their attacks for an easy advantage.

    I'm 2 hours in and I'm level 2. Definitely not playing for the competitive aspect.

    It would be nice, but no, there isn't. I just press "F" (PC) to see my character.

    Just stick with your current character :P I'm a warrior and it's really fun. You can always change what you do.

    Skyrim sound help!

    Firstly, welcome to the forum - hope to see you around more. Have you read up on the guide for fixing sound on Windows 7? I'm sure it can be translated to Windows XP, as I assume it would have the same sound options? Also, there's a specific help section on the forum.

    Well fast travelling to towns that have not been found are always a thing in games, it's just silly if you can travel without having been there. I like how dragons are a great part of the game though, the start was pretty intense!

    Definitely get it for PC. Your laptop will handle it easy on Ultra.
