Happy birthday Skyrim, the game that cemented me into the Elder Scrolls once and for all. I had passings with Daggerfall, a triffle with Morrowind and a very brief liasson with Oblivion. It took Skyrim to land me hook line and sinker.
My first playthrough, Cicero got under the skin of the business like nature of my Khajiit sneak/assassin build. Hence Cicero died.
My second playthrough, my Dark Elf was very corrupted by daedric items it didnt matter. Cicero Lived.

Personally I like having one extra follower around with me having a grand total of 2 followers (Thanks UFO mod, look that one up if your into modding) any more than that and its a pathing nightmare.
Skyrim is easy, when you get more than a few levels under your belt. Take this video of mine as example.
I died twice and had to skirt around the monster spawns to get to where I needed to go due to the fact my Redguard is only level 14 at the time and its on Expert difficulty.
Currently for my Redguards playthrough I'm actually starting to get attached to Fort Dawnguard and I might consider that as a home base, but I'm not sure until I get through Hearthfire which I have yet to see.
