    Imperial or Stormcloak

If you talk to them, they are divided in their opinions of the Legion and Empire, but not between the Empire and Stormcloaks. They don't support the Stormcloaks at all. Their divide is between loyalty to the Legion and loyalty to Orc traditions and the holdfasts.

    Imperial or Stormcloak

In the same dossier, it says that the Thalmor are not connected to the return of Alduin. It mentions that it was coincidental. Ulfric is not a "sleeper agent", he is listed as a "dormant asset", and one that can be manipulated but would resist any "overt" attempts to be bought off or used by the...

    Imperial or Stormcloak

Doubtful, Jeff, because Skyrim takes place in a feudal-lite fantasy setting in an alternate universe with polities that barely approximate contemporary nation-states, let alone the internal power dynamics of 21st century post-industrial capitalist hegemons. Also, this: axiomatically...

Alternative helm for Dragon Plate armor?

I think the Dragon Plate helm looks rather awful with the rest of the Dragon Plate armor. The colors clash weirdly, and I have yet to see a race that can make the helm and the rest of the armor look good when worn together. Could people post some screenshots of alternative helms (or hoods, or...

    psyk0's One-Size-Fits-All Character Creation Guide

Good stuff Psyko. Is there any reason you chose one-handed over two-handed, or heavy armor over light? Also, did you put anything into archery for ranged damage dealing, or just rely on conjuration?

So you want to be a mage. [Guide]

Your guide mentions that high elves receive a weakness to magic, but this doesn't seem to be the case in Skyrim (while it obviously was the major racial drawback in previous games).

    Vampirism used to be annoying

Once you are a werewolf, you are immune to the vampire disease and thus cannot catch vampirism until lycanthropy is cured.

    How much to fortify unarmed?

I would like to make a viable martial artist monk character. To do so, however, I imagine that I will need to fortify unarmed damage a bit. What would be the best way to fortify unarmed damage to be more or less in line with other fighting styles? Should I use some limited looping with...

what kind of a skyrim player are you?

I have a Breton stealthy illusionist mage who wears robes, but uses archery instead of destruction (destruction bothers me). Have enemies kill each other if they are in groups. If not, then they will go down in a few bow shots. Throw out an atronach for an emergency distraction if needed, or if...

Any reason to select Azura's Star over Black Star?

If black souls are the equivalent of grand souls, and humanoids are ubiquitous to kill, is there any reason to choose Azura's star over the Black star?

I dont want to be a Vamp...

Once you are a vampire, it is too late for a simple cure disease potion to work. That only works in the first three days you had the initial infection, during which you received multiple warnings that should have suggested something was up. In order to cure full-blown vampirism, you need to...

    Increasing alteration spell lengths

It is primarily a matter of convenience for me. I enjoy the mage look, especially Thalmor robes, but don't want to suffer in terms of armor, and wouldn't want to have to constantly recast armor spells mid-battle for the harder battles.

    Increasing alteration spell lengths

What would be required to get the Dragonhide master alteration spell to last as long as possible? The Stability perk gives +50% duration, but does dual-casting allow me to increase the duration as well? If so, how much, and does the increase take into account the % increase from the Stability perk?

    Bonuses to bow damage

I have a small dilemma. I enjoy the look of the bound bow, but am put off by the inability to upgrade it beyond the increased bound damage perk. I have heard that regular bows can get to the point where you can consistently one- and two-shot most enemies. Can using a bound bow ever get close to...

Consequences for not participating in the civil war?

I have a dunmer assassin character who is morally eclectic. I can't really justify him joining up with either side. Are there any serious game consequences for not picking a side in the civil war that I should be aware of?

how to use dagger with sneak?

Is there any benefit to dual wielding daggers when you backstab, or are you only attacking with one dagger?

    Avoiding smithing/enchanting/alchemy for balance?

I would like to avoid becoming too overpowered later in my character's development. Smithing, enchanting and alchemy seem to be commonly complained about as unbalancers. If I wanted to avoid unbalancing, would you suggest I avoid these skills entirely, or use them but don't spend perks on them...

    Good looking armor/cloth combos?

I am away from my console for a few weeks, but I am looking to make a battlemage when I get back. For the battlemage, I would like to mix cloth and armor in some interesting-looking ways. If anyone has any pictures of their characters wearing good-looking combinations of armor and cloth, please...

    Mage's Path

There are alteration spells that give you armor bonuses. There are also alteration perks that increase this bonus that only work when you wear no armor. You can still enchant clothes. You can use conjuration summons as distractions, as well as followers. You have to be more careful, but it can work.

    How many perks?

Just to clarify, how many perks can you get? I've seen people say 80, as well as caps as low as 50. Which is it (on xbox, if that matters)?
