    I have taken on Erik the Slayer as my squire. Of course it's nice to have someone on your side in a fight, but mostly, I like having an extra character to improve. I use two-handed weapons, so it's great to have a use for all the nice shields or one-handers we find.

    Like so many others, I'm a big fan of the area around Riften. I've liked it from the first time I came down from a snowy mountain into those fall colors on the outskirts of the Rift and wandered into the Alchemist Shack.

    Do you have to smith your own Dwemer armor? I'm sure I've seen it laying around in places more accessible than Nchuand-Zel.

    You can use Bitdefender or something along those lines to create USB boot recovery drive. No need for an optical disc. Google away, you might find it is less difficult than you thought.

    That's a nice angle. Regularly searching for skooma dealers. Collecting bounties to support your habit. It is hard to ignore, but when I find treasure on wild animals, I do no pick it up. Just walk away. Also, try a self imposed carry limit to reduce your looting income. I avoid...

    You may already be avoiding these things, but I'll suggest them just in case. -Don't sleep, there's a resting bonus to experience. -Don't use the stones that apply leveling bonuses Also, your leveling will probably slow over time, especially if you are using the same skills repeatedly.

    I agree, that is a fine way to add consequence to death without the tedium of some of the other suggestions. If it makes you feel better, you can always RP the failed day as a nightmarish vision or something along those lines.
