    The Skyrim Book Club

One of my favorite books I've read in Skyrim is Immortal Blood. Good read. I compiled a library in Oblivion and read a lot of books, but that was a while ago and the stories no longer stand out in my head. I remember liking the one about the thief that has to give up his treasure and flirt...

    Any opinions on the perks?

    Two-Handed: Advice Request

I've finally made a two-handed oriented character. I have never done this in any TES game. The concept of losing a hand that could have a shield or spell left a foul taste in my mouth. Fortunately, I'm enjoying the powerful attacks and this style of play. :) My question is, which style of 2h...

    Skyrim "Hardcore" Playstyle

I can understand limiting your carrying capacity, because sometimes I look at my inventory, laugh, and think "How in the hell does he carry all of that with no pack?" But 30? If you are not a mage character, this idea makes no sense. 30 will not allow for a full set of heavy armor and single...

    Shawdowmere?

Schwhat?! Shadowmere is supposed to be invincible. At least I thought so. Hopefully, a patch will fix that soon. To be honest, I would say reload to before you entered the cave. To me, Shadowmere is worth redoing the longest dungeon in Skyrim. That horse is amazing an will kick a dragon in...

    Dragon Smithing perk

With the right alchemy perks and armor enchanted to fortify alchemy, you can make potions that fortify Smithing for 130% for 30 seconds. Add that to your enchanted armor for smithing, and you've got a temporary smithing skill of 330! Remember though, that the timer is ticking when in the...

    Dragon Smithing perk

Yes, by getting the perk, you can improve "x" armor to Legendary quality, up to twice as good. However, your skill is what makes it much better. This is why you see so many threads advising enchanted armor to fortify smithing and potions to do the same. Adding to that stat substantially...

    Elder Scrolls VI

I cannot imagine they would end the series now. I agree that Skyrim will have a very long shelf life, with dlc and all. And I imagine we will see a new set of gaming consoles before we see TES VI. I'm just hoping I can resist the urge to buy any consoles after this gen haha. I just need to...

    Alchemy

If I recall correctly, ingredients were on a 30 day respawn timer in Oblivion. I assume the same of Skyrim. As for leveling Alchemy. Remember to activate the Thief Stone before any potion-making sessions. As for eating the ingredients, don't bother. The amount of experience is minimal compared...

    Dragon Smithing perk

True, getting the dragon smithing perk will have no effect on your ability to improve your daedric armor/weapons. If you only intend to use daedric weapons and armor, there's no need to waste a perk point on that dragon skill.

    Update 1.2

So if I connect my ps3 to the internet (I usually don't, because my Uni's internet is crap haha), I can get this update now?

    Destruction Question

Well after a brief experiment, I can confidently say that destruction leveling is based on damage done. Therefore, fire, using less magika and causing more damage, is the way to go when trying to raise that skill. Additionally, if your target of choice isn't dropped within one magic bar, I...

    Destruction Question

I was wondering, what is it that makes your destruction skill go up? Is it the amount of damage you do to a eligible target, or the amount of magika you use while doing that damage? What I mean to ask, I suppose, is would using fire (causing more damage, given x amount of magika) or shock...

Bitopic: Your favorite Drink and Snack while playing?

Yoohoo Chocolate Drink and my mum's homemade peperoni bread. Life is good when this combo meets Skyrim :)

wow I just got SOOO lucky!

Yeah, facing an Ancient Dragon and a Frost Dragon simultaneously was one of the highlights on my first playthrough. I was fortunate, though, that a bear occupied the frost dragon at first, so I had time to focus on the other for a short while. What a game!

    DLC anyone?

To be honest, I'd be happy with an excellent house. One that has all of the smithing/enchanting/alchemy tables. And lots of storage containers and bookshelves (I've been collecting books, I hope to get every one in the game haha)! That would be good for starters. Then, I'd like a large...

What race are you in skyrim?

^^^ I lul'd. It's true, mate. I played a Redguard in Oblivion that was a master in Hand-to-hand, Heavy Armor, and Acrobatics. That was a riot. Nothing satisfies like jumping across the surface of lava to punch a Daedra in the face! >:D

    Best Enchantments?

Additionally, using grand soul gems (filled with grand souls, of course), you can enchant 4 items (head, chest, ring, & amulet) with "Destruction cost 25% less," thus making destruction spells free. The beauty is that this applies to enchanted weapons. A sword with Fire/Frost damage or absorb...

What race are you in skyrim?

I'm playing Brenton, like I did in Oblivion. Though the magic resistance benefits aren't as strong in Skyrim as they used to be, it's still a nice bonus, I think. I'm about to start another character that is primarily a conjurer. I'm thinking High Elf for the boost in magika. Any input?

Funny way of leveling up Magic + getting free elven arrows

I'm not gonna lie, I laughed out loud when I realized you force pushed him back (I know this isn't star wars, but I feel like a Jedi when I use that shout haha), just to go pull the lever and lock him in that cell. Sneaky devil, what a trick! ;)
