So you want to be a mage. [Guide]

If I'm dead set on using robes, is it better to wear upgraded armor for the head, arms, legs w/ alteration spells (want to use Vokun masks) or is it better utilize the mage armor perks from an armor standpoint?

Heavy chest armor Light everything else...

Quick question. Wearing heavy chest armor and the rest Light, would that level up both or just heavy (or light only)?

    Latest DLC info : Dawnguard.

Skyrim is my first elderscrolls game. How does the DLC work? Is this a separate game or is this a continuation/extension of your current character's quest?

    Conjuring weaponsmaster - Viable?

I thought about that but I figured in situations that I have no magicka its nice to have an actual weapon to fall back on. The Blade of Woe is perfect in that its almost as strong as a daedric sword and its a dagger. I need a dagger anyway for 30x backstabs.

    Conjuring weaponsmaster - Viable?

Oh I've been using DB armor for all my builds so far. I think I'll keep using Blade of Woe and my Mystic Bound Sword then pick up the Bound Bow in Fort Amol. I'll use these then plan on getting Chillrend and the Nightingale Bow at lv 46 and make a decision on if I still want to use my Bound...

    Conjuring weaponsmaster - Viable?

Thank you all for your input. I've started my conjuring weapon assassin and he's at lv 13 or so. I've decided to kill Astrid (I'm doing the DB questline on another build) to obtain the Blade of Woe early. Dual wielding both the Blade of Woe and a Mystic Bound Sword is extremely powerful so far...

    Conjuring weaponsmaster - Viable?

I do still plan to invest in enchanting, mainly for my armor. I figured I can smith the left side of the branch for light armors since the bound weapons are plenty strong. Thinking of using the blade of woe or Mehrunes' Razor a the left handed weapon.

    Conjuring weaponsmaster - Viable?

I know some unenchanted weapons are still viable. I guess the fact that you could get access to potentially the most powerful weapons in the game extremely very early is somewhat hard for me to believe. Not to say it would be a walk in the park regardless.

    Conjuring weaponsmaster - Viable?

I thought of creating a character that only uses bound weapons (no summons, maybe have a dagger as backup/stealth). The base damage seems as strong as daedric weapons. no enhancements would be a disadvantage, however, are bound weapons viable though out the whole game? Would they do decent...

A great mage/warrior/assassin character on Master Difficulty

Hello, Skyrim is my first Elderscrolls game and I'm loving it. Just curious. I've seen many character build guides that have a character specialize in one area (i.e mage) or builds that are pretty good at two areas (i.e. stealth mage/night blade). However, is it possible to create a...
