Why is the alto wine always gone?
One of the reason I played skyrim, and the other TES games were simply for the Lore. I am intrigued by the lore of all the games, especially skyrim. This thread is for others who also love lore, and specificaly the book you can find in skyrim. So post what book you loved the most in skyrim, my personal fav was the one about the argonian maid, even though it was a bit raunchy LOL. the books can be lore friendly or just something that made you laugh.

I have to say my favorite book in skyrim is the how to hunt trolls book. I have never read the one about the argonian maid, is it a fun read?

Nephor The Shadow Stalker

Strike swiftly and silently.
The one about the werewolves. Can't remember the title but it went over different races and the changing process of lycanthropy. Being a long time werewolf fan (newly converted to vampirism) I found it very fascinating. I did like that other book about the vampire hunter who was working with a vampire too. That one was pretty sweet.

with the use of ingame books and TES wiki pages I have learned alot about the lore of TES, however i may have worded the thread wrong. What i meant when making this was a Book like a history book, with the history, lore, mythology of all of tamriel, from the first age to the tim of skyrim, I personaly would love a book or possibly a multi book series. I think alot of fans would buy it, I myself love the lore aspect of these games, it's what makes me buy the latest TES game.

Kohlar the Unkilled

Time for some ale
I would buy such a book, as I am now vested in the series, and I am extremely selective with games these days. There is an Elder Scrolls novel, I've seen it for sale online. I hesitate to buy it, as novels can be a significant investment in time and are often not worth it. Anyone read it? A series of novels featuring the major players in the history of Tamriel could be a good way of exploring the lore from different perspectives.

There is two of them, I have read them. Quite good. They're canon also, so everything that happens is lore.

there are 2 or 3 books on amazon, I know what you mean. Sometimes going from a hobby such as gaming to a novel based on the game can be very disapointing, I use to play MTG, started reading some of the novels, about 25% were decent the rest were garbage imo. I'm a history buff and love movies like indiana jones, so TES reminded me of those 2 things.
