I just started a new Imperial thief character. I decided to suck up my dislike of the fact they're shorter than Nord women and just go with it. Even though they don't have the greatest abilities, I wanted to be one because I'm a die hard supporter of the Empire.

First time around, I went with an Imperial girl - I find their classical features to be alluring and I couldn't resist. As I played through the Civil War storyline, choosing that race made even more sense.

Second and third times through, I've gone with Bretons. I have particular affinity for the dual-heritage aspect to them, and their magic resistance/abilities ain't bad either.

I'm thinking about making a Redguard character eventually as well. :p

I made an Argonian Sneak archer because Argonians are just cool (shadowscale anyone?) then just to proove race doesn't matter I made a High Elf theif

I made a Wood Elf, mainly cause i started with a high boost in archery and he was going to be my evil dark brotherhood guy so i figured an evil wood elf would be cool for some reason.

I am about to make an alt and im torn between argonian just because their awesome, or a Orc because ive always been loyal to Orcs from the old warcraft days lol

for my first character I picked Khajiit because I love hand to hand, sadly Bethesda didn't put too much into it. Felt manly playing unarmed but it got dull after a while.

My real main character was a Dark Elf/Vampire, can't resist that natural fire resistance paired with a Vamp. Sadly I started a new character and accidentally saved over my Dark Elf Vamp =(

That new character that I made is a High Elf/Werewolf/Sneaky Mage. That extra magicka helps out alot.

I chose Khajiitthis time, I thought the catseyes power may be useful, and it really is. Maybe not the best racial choice for a mage, but my fur doesn't singe.

Originally, I chose redguard but didn't like the style too much and I quickly switched over to an Argonian thinking I would become a sneaky mage character... the mage part hasn't worked out so well. I've spent too many perks in magic that I don't use and not enough to turn myself into a successful archer/one-handed/light armor/sneaky type.

Next playthrough, I'm going to go a full thief/assassin character or a full mage character and not mix the two.

First playthrough (which was also my first experience with an Elder Scrolls game), I chose a Breton simply for the magic resistance.

Second playthrough was a Nord, because I wanted to do the civil war questline on the Stormcloak's side, and thought a Nord would be the best fit, roleplay-wise. I came up with a lot of backstory for her, and she's still my favorite character.

Third playthrough is a Bosmer, because I wanted to play a pure archer and had this vision of a Legolas-type romantic woodland elf that I thought a Bosmer would fit perfectly with.

Fourth playthrough is a Dunmer, again for mainly roleplay reasons. I want this character to be an evil bastard. Dark Brotherhood assassin, "Mythic Dawn cultist" (i.e. do all the Daedra quests, and specialize in conjuring Dremora, probably only wear Mythic Dawn robes), pyromancer. I haven't used destruction magic much since the early levels of my first game, so I really want to focus on magic this time around, and I always knew I'd choose a Dunmer for that.

I've also tried an Orc, who only got to level 15 or so because I didn't really care for him; if/when I play an Orc again, I'll use a much smarter build. And an Imperial, who was supposed to be a swordsman who refused to do crafting of any sort because he was a "nobleman" and crafting was "beneath him," but he only got to level 8 before I accidentally saved over his only saved game, OOPS. I'll be trying him again someday.

Also have characters and builds in mind for future Redguard and Khajiit playthroughs.

Basically, I want to PLAY ALL THE THINGS.
