The Shadow of Elsweyr
I'm thinking of re-rolling with an Orc Warboss/bezerker build. Heavy Orc armour, no magic, no sneak, no wimpy shield, Smithed to hell Orc weapons. But I cant decide to go 2handed or dual wield? Or should an Orc Warboss specialist in both weapon trees? Axes, swords or mace/hammers? What would an Orc prefer? Axes maybe? Axes and Orcs seem to go like peas and carrots yeah? I'll be spamming my racial ability heaps as well. Only Orc followers too.

I love my Khajiit Rogue, but I never really 'fight' anything. I sneak kill everything. I miss rushing in and butchering everything!

Any ideas/opinions on an Orc Warboss build?

Nice, I've been umming and arring on whether to start up an orc character but I believe i've got a good build idea.

I'd start of making a simple looking orc, no war paint but maybe a couple of scars to make you think "Wow, this orc has seen some s**t" Then i'd give him gray hair maybe to add a wise look to him... and of course... the weight bar cranked up to full. The weapons i would use and armor consist of:

Orcish Helmet
Orcish Armor
Orcish Gauntlets
Orcish Boots

Dual Wield Oricish War axes

Main skills would be:

One-Handed
Heavy Armor
Smithing
Speech (I believe have the skill to persuade and intimidate NPC's shows a sense of power.)
Enchanting

Hope you like it and you can take some ideas or some inspiration from this, Thanks, Eddie

Do you think because of a shun on all magic and sneak it would allow you enough perks to specialise in both 1-handed dual weild and 2-handed? Healing would only be through alchemy and potions.

Definitely, especially since you're only using orc armor, you won't have to spend as many points in smithing either. Also, as an Orc warboss, I would think you should forego enchanting as well.

Hmmmm if I'm honest I wasn't going to pick enchanting originally i was considering Two-Handed because then it would allow variety in different situations. How About your main 5 Skills will be

One-Handed (For the war axes)
Two-handed (For a two handed weapon of your Choice)
Alchemy (To create Healing potions)
Heavy Armor (To be able to run in and not care... like a boss)
Smithing (To forge and Improve all items and armor to give you a powerful edge)

I think thats a nice balance?

I really like the idea of being proficient in both 1/2 handed trees. The above mentioned areas would be the 5 I would focus on the most. The idea being a giant Orc brute who can dish out massive DPS but also soak up most hits without a fuss. I know mages are going to trouble me big time do I'll need some magic resistance on my armour thus I might need a little enchanting?

70/30 health/stamina split you think? Or 60/40?

my current build is an old orc. he uses forswon swords for now but will soon be using EVERYTHING orcish. i also am getting in with all of the strongholds

I've started. lv. 5. Going 2-handed till around lv.15 then I'll swap to dual wield and pump that up a bit. I was lv. 5 before I left Helgen, and did a speed run through bleak falls one hitting everything with my battle axe ! Was a pisser! Much-o-fun-o!

A unique idea would be to play the orc as if you were in his mindset.

Always wanting a good fight.

I could see an orc battle finatic handicapping himself in order to dive deeper into the thrill of battle.

For example, we all know bandits and draugr can get weak as we skyrocket in power and options.

Could you imagine an orc that journeyed to the college of winterhold to learn a bit of illusion magic.

An orc being approached by a lowly bandit, orc casts courage upon his opponent to make the challenge all the sweeter.

Using only light armor, no helmet, something like only the fur waist wrap (that one piece of armor could hit armor cap with the restoration glitch)

consider even making him look brutish, targe of the blooded shield with an iron hand axe,( restoration glitch on the iron war axe to keep it up to par with the more powerful weapons. I know you didnt want a shield, but everything about an orc with a spiky shield that will bleed you out feels right.

Also when you get the perk point, elementals, arrows and power attacks inbound are really less of an issue (block arrows, elementals that hit shield are reduced by 50%, and power attacks aimed your way are done in slow motion. Feels fitting of an orc who is battle hardened. When you get the shield perk that allows you to run into people with a shield your going to truly see what i mean with what it feels like when the spiked targe of the blooded is being used as an object to rush into foes and have them topple over.

Look up that shield!

I do roll an orc warboss, i make him a two handed sword user, no spell at all, not even a scroll. I'm pretty up in the smithing tree last week i make myself a nice ebonite armor. It look pretty bad ass :)

The fun part in this char is going head first in any battle, but doing sneak and thievery quest from the thives guild is almost out of the question. Anyway, what an orc warboss want to do with sneak ? he would bang the door open kill and rape not necessarily in that order and then stole everything ;)

I just dont think an orc warboss would ever lower himself to wussy magic. Or light armour for that matter. He probably would consider a shield a waste of a hand that could instead have an axe in it which he could use to crush skulls. Good ideas, but they dont really suit my build i guess.

Yeah its all preference. Two handed heavy armor is one of the easiest classes that cap out with perks so soon. I got bored with that kind of build.

That's why i want to be proficient in both 2-handed and dual wield. Simply for killing variety.

My main is an orc heavy armor, dual weild axes, all daedric. Owning everything got kinda boring so i mostly roleplay a war hero and world savior with him and decorate all my houses and hang out in bars drinking or chilling at home with the wifey (Aela). Every once in a while i go out and crack some bandit or giant or dragon skulls for the various jarls. I've taken up elk/deer hunting recently too.

Im sticking with axes all round. Axes and Orc's are a match made in heaven. I'm using a battle axe to lv.15, then ill switch to dual war axes. That way if i get bored of one, i can switch to the other to keep the killing fresh. Looking forward to getting a full orcish kit with all orcish weapons as well. Just to complete the look.

Looks like ill need a bow as well (*groan). Those pesky dragons just wont land so i can cop them up unless I pepper them with arrows first, so orcish bow it is!

Ive forgot how OP beserker rage is. Its almost silly how much damage i can dish out in 60 seconds. Your basically invincible.
