    Confused Khajiit
I see that almost every Khajiit in the RPs are just titled Khajiit. So I thought I would make this thread for those that want to further describe their Khajiiti.

If you don't know, Khajiiti are bound to the Lunar Lattice (or Ja'Kha'Jay in the Khajiit tongue of Ta'agra) and this determines how their abilities and appearance will turn out. Masser and Secunda are the two moons seen in Tamrial.

    Ohmes
    - Masser New, Secunda Full. Ohmes are similar in appearance to Bosmer, except usually of lesser stature. Many Ohmes tattoo their faces in order to not be mistaken as a Bosmer. The Ohmes are the Khajiit generally seen outside of Elsweyr, taking advantage of other races' preferance of appearance to serve in Ambassadorship and trade.

    Ohmes-raht
    - Masser New, Secunda Waxing. Similar in appearance to the races of Men except with light colored fur. Unlike other races of Khajiit, the Ohmes-raht walk on their heels.
    Mnew_Swaxing.jpg

    Suthay
    - Masser New, Secunda New. Similar to the Suthay-raht in all aspects, except smaller in stature.
    Mnew_Snew.jpg

    Suthay-raht
    - Masser New, Secunda Waning. Similar in appearance to Men, except fur, which ranges from dark brown and orange, to light yellow, both with and without stripes and spots.
    Mnew_Swaning.jpg

    Cathay
    - Masser Waxing, Secunda Full. Similar to the Suthay-raht in appearance and bi-pedalism, except they posses greater stature and strength.
    Mwaxing_Sfull.jpg

    Cathay-raht
    - Masser Waxing, Secunda Waxing. The Cathay-raht are larger and stronger than the Cathay and are often described by other races as Jaguar Men.
    Mwaxing_Swaxing.jpg

    Tojay
    - Masser Waxing, Secunda New.
Little is known of the Tojay, save that they live in the southern marshes and jungle regions of Elsweyr, as well as the Tenmar forest.
    Mwaxing_Snew.jpg

    Tojay-raht
    - Masser Waxing, Secunda Waning. Probably just larger versions of the Tojay.
    Mwaxing_Swaning.jpg

    Alfiq
    - Masser Waning, Secunda Full. A form of Khajiit not unlike a common house cat, except for their quadrupedal form. Alfiq can understand language and are keenly intelligent, though they can't actually respond when you try to talk to them.
    Mwaning_Sfull.jpg

    Alfiq-raht
    - Masser Waning, Secunda Waxing. Nothing is known of the Alfiq-raht, except they're probably larger than the Alfiq.
    Mwaning_Swaxing.jpg

    Dagi
    - Masser Waning, Secunda New. A form of Khajiit found in the Tenmar Forests. They are smaller in stature than Bosmer and can reach the highest branches that even the Bosmer can't reach. They are known spell casters, a characteristic often taken advantage of by tacticians.
    Mwaning_Snew.jpg

    Dagi-raht
    - Masser Waning, Secunda Waning. They are larger than the Dagi, although not overly so.
    Mwaning_Swaning.jpg

    Pahmer
    - Masser Full, Secunda New. Similar in size and appearance to a tiger, also they're quadrupedal.
    Mfull_Snew.jpg

    Pahmer-raht
    - Masser Full, Secunda Waning. Larger than the Pahmer but also possesses a fiercer disposition
    Mfull_Swaning.jpg

    Senche
    - Masser Full, Secunda Full. The Senches are often employed as steeds by other Khajiit, assumedly by will. Roughly the same height as the average Altmer, with an average weight comparable to that of twenty Altmer.
    Mfull_Sfull.jpg

    Senche-raht
    - Masser Full, Secunda Waxing. The Senche-raht are larger and slower than the Senche. The average Senche-raht stands as tall as two Altmer and can weigh as much or more than fifty.

    Mane
    - The Mane only appears when the moons are in a rare alignment. The Mane is a leader of Khajiiti and has an immense amount of political power. There can never be more than one Mane at a time. In the ancient past Khajiit would shave off their manes in deference to the Mane, braiding them into locks for him to place in his own mane. Over time this became impractical, the Khajiiti still shave their manes in respect but they dispose of the locks. The current Mane, however, still wears the braids of his own tribe, as well as those of his Warrior Guard, which encompasses hundreds of Khajiit. He is so over weighted by his mane that he cannot move without aid, he travels country side by means of a Cathay-raht palanquin.

With the amount of power able to be attained by the player character in Skyrim, do you think a Khajiit player(Suthay-raht) could take on the Mane?

If you mean actually BE a Mane, no. Being a Mane is a birthright and can't be inherited. If you mean fight, yes. The Mane has no natural physical attributes that would grant him some unique super power (at least none that's been described)

So what's this "immense amount of power" he has?

It's political not physical. I'll edit right away.

Edited the thread title spelling, and added tags for use of searching for anyone looking for something like this.

Alright, I made, what should be, my final update. It gives you more information on the Manes. I hope those that read this, use the knowledge in their future RPs and fan fictions. I wish you all good luck in your future endeavors.

I could swear Cathay were the Cyrodiil and Skyrim Khajiit. When I look on UESP, it has the one Khajiit drawing that you have as Suthay-that and it says it is too. But on the Elder Scrolls wiki it says Suthay Raht are the the digitigrade Khajiiti in Morrowind. And the page they have on Cathay says they are the ones in Cyrodiil and Skyrim. I'm pretty sure it's right, Cathay are supposed to be the Plantigrade Khajiit and Suthay Raht the digitigrade. The Morrowind and Cyrodiil/Skyrim Khajiit are very obviously different species.

So the Mane is kind of like the Nevarrine for the Dunmer or the Dragonborn for the Nords? That's interesting.

Not exactly, he's more of a born king, not a born hero.

I stumbled upon this and well thank you!:) I'm a Khajiit fanatic and usually always play them more than the power gamer races. I have a back story and detailed descriptions of each of my characters in each TES game.:D Now with some actual lore I can weave that in each back story for more finer details.

As a avid Khajiit fan, I do like this but wish there were pictures of each racial type preferably with size comparisons visible.

Those those looking to oblivion and skyrim as guides to the khajiit, remember the difficulting in coding different player models and don't assign too much to the digi and penti grade forms of the legs and feet.
