I've been playing Skyrim on my 360 lately when I noticed that sometimes the graphics turn very crappy (like.. Morrowind crappy.. no offense) and the game freezes for 20-30 seconds. I cannot do anything at all. Hitting the Xbox button doesn't do anything. And then it all goes back to normal. I mean, it might be loading textures, but this is ridiculous. I've never had this problem until recently. The game freezes a lot at some points. Its getting on my nerves.. Is there any known fix? Thanks.

I have an xbox 360 but never had this issue.. dumb question time: have you updated to 1.4? When it freezes, are you in a loading screen or walking around?

I'm pretty sure I have. My Xbox 360 is usually always connected to the internet, so it had to of updated.
Its usually when I'm walking around in the field. Not so much the towns, but the fields. It seems to be getting better, but it happens every time I don't play the game for like a week.

i use xbox 360. and it doesnt freeze for me,but ive not been playing long.its probably worse if you have loads of stuff to load during loading screens.i hope i dont get to encounter this problem because i can see how it would be annoying.

another dumb question, is your game loaded onto the hard drive or playing from disk? are you saving to the "cloud" or locally? do you have the auto save on menu and auto save ever x minutes turned on?

Just for testing.. turn off all auto saving (menu and auto x minutes).. I have read that it help with the PS3 version.. again I do not have any of these issues so just trying to give some help.

I play the game from a disc. I do not save to the cloud, just to my hard drive. I turned auto saving off.. except for when my character takes a rest.

Ive got about 165 hours on my game so far and Ive had it freeze probably about 8-10 times. Ive had it freeze on the loading screen and also while talking to people and just walking around. When mine freezes I have to turn off the Xbox. If I wait nothing happens.

Yep this happens to me after about 5 mins. of play the game freezes since the update ..... FIX IT PLZ .

Well it is really kinda recommended to install the game to your hard drive because it speeds up loading screens and what not but i mean if you wanna keep having the problem i would say go get a new disk or try to borrow a friends to see if it is just the disk if it is problem solved. I used to play xbox360 and i had to dl several games to my hdd and it helped alot (ex.) Fable used to hardcore crash meaning no menu no nothing. i had to turn system off repeatedly then i installed and it fixed it i also cleared cache though.. you need to update after that though so its up to you man idk have fun buddy.

Mine is installed to HDD and patched to 1.4 and it freezes fairly regularly. It's completely unpredictable, sometimes in the middle of nowhere with no battles or huge textures anywhere in sight, sometimes on a loading screen.

Actually since patching to 1.4 I get occasional slow-downs or temporary freezes that last for a few seconds.
This patch fixed nothing I noticed performance wise and quest wise neither. My misc journal is still full of bugged out objectives that I finished either before or after getting them.

Still quite buggy.

Mine does the same thing. But, I have mine saved to a flash drive, so that's probably not good. Still, when I saved it to the HD and patched 1.4, it still would freeze. I'm confused as to whether it is a console issue, or game itself issue. Obviously, the save the flash drive is probably not a good thing.
