My apologies with the Bren/Bron mixup! I had the name Bren on my mind apparently, even though I was posting as a character I definitely knew as Bronn. Anyway, I am about to board a flight for New York and will be unavailable for posts until after Monday. I am attending unreal and memorial services for my grandfather.

I have returned. After today (I am about to drive about 3 hours away) I will settle back into a posting routine.

I know you guys have a solid amount of people, but let me make a case! I've been a massive fan of ASOIAF for 7 years now, I'm currently working on a short story and a fantasy novel, and can direct you to multiple RP's that show my skill. Plus, an extra person or two can never hurt, especially when people aren't able to post for one reason or another :)

Haha I'll do so once I'm home, hard to write up a lot on my cell! And I'm kinda surprised, given the premise, but ah well. Still interested!

Hale, if you could get your CC up soon, that'd be great :)

I'll be posting later on today; I have barely enough time to write this before I have to go out again -_- But when I get back, I'll get to posting as much as I can.

(OOC: I'd prefer to join up with the Stark party, as it would fit better with his backstory. However, I can't find the actual RP thread yet, so once it's linked to me I will edit to include where he currently is :) )

    Name: Floki Blacktyde

    Gender: Male

House/Kingdom: House Blacktyde, the Iron Islands

Preferred Deity: The Drowned God (obviously :D )

    Age: 30

    Skills:

His two main approaches to battle are with his Valyrian steel longsword, Agi, in conjunction with his roundshield, or with his twin war axes. Floki is of medium build, all muscle, and is deceivingly quick on his feet. He is a battle-hardened warrior, the champion son of Baelor Blacktyde, and has fought many raids and battles along the coast from his ship, Valkir. Before the events that befell his house in A Feast for Crows, Floki was, in addition to being a fierce and experienced warrior, a brilliant captain, especially when it came to night raids. He is also an accomplished lyre musician, and carries one wherever he goes.

    Armor:

He typically wears hardened leather armor, with the finest chainmail available underneath it, along with iron greaves and braces.

    Personality:

Floki, as a son of Lord Baelor Blacktyde, has been brought up as all Ironborn noble children were. Therefore, while he has a penchant for violent battle, he is also a well-spoken, charismatic individual, able to charm his way out of as many situations as he could fight his way out of. His noble-warrior demeanor, plus his altogether "uniqueness" as a Ironborn (eg; appearance and accent), constantly draws gazes from women, and glares from men. Despite the latter, Floki Blacktyde keeps up a true smile, and jokes about many things. Though when battle does occur, that humor flows away, as the bloodlust commences. Despite being a son of the Iron Islands, Floki feels a constant tug for adventure beyond his homeland, and his father's tales of his tenure as a hostage on the mainland only further his desire to explore, love, and fight on mainland Westeros.

Backstory (up through A Feast for Crows):

Floki has spent his life training, raiding, fluffing, and fighting, to put it bluntly. Since his late teens, he assured himself of his champion status when he slew, in single combat, a knight of House Mormont with naught but his twin axes (the cause was a dispute over the "deflowering" of said knight's eldest daughter, however!), earning him pride in not only his father's eyes, but in the eyes of all the Iron Islands. For the last dozen years, he has been captaining raids in his ship, Valkir, with his fiercely loyal and fiercely fighting crew. However, the last week's events have turned Floki's once-stable life upside down.

After the events of the Red Wedding, and following King Balor Greyjoy's death and the subsequent Kingsmoot, Lord Baelor Blacktyde openly refused to recognize the now-King Euron Greyjoy's newly acquired crown, against Floki's advice. Though Floki agreed with his father that Euron did not deserve the crown, and indeed came to it under suspicious circumstances, Floki implored of his father not to risk his life over such a thing. However, his Lord father refused, and was subsequently captured and chained by King Euron's men, and before Floki's eyes, was then hacked apart without even getting a chance to defend himself. It was then that Euron turned his attention to Floki, ordering the same men to kill the son of the "traitor". Instead, Floki fled back across the islands in a two-day chase, back to his own tower on Blacktyde, and armed himself. When a dozen men came to kill Floki, he lured them through his labyrinth of a tower-home, killing each one off one-by-one through traps and ambushes. Floki then wasted no time in fleeing the Iron Islands in his ship, assisted by his ever-loyal crew. Unfortunately, no sooner than they began to land on the coast near the Riverlands, then Euron and three longships filled with men ambushed them. After heavy fighting, his first mate Rollo bid his friend to flee deep into Westeros, as he was now the Lord of Blacktyde, and had the right to claim the title, and to accuse King Euron of his father's murder, but only if he was alive to do so. After a near-tearful goodbye, Rollo and the rest of his crew were eventually captured and imprisoned by Euron and his men, back on Pyke, while Floki fled through the Riverlands.

Floki Blackwater, in short, is out for vengeance for his father, to rescue his friends, and secretly wishes to gain the title of King of the Iron Islands from the cold, dead hands of Euron Greyjoy, making it a sovereign nation, but one at relative peace with the North, as he sees them as "kin", of a sort, with the eventual plan of raiding the richer South. He hopes to find and rescue Theon Greyjoy from the clutches of the Boltons, hoping that he hates his "brother" as much as Floki does, and recruit him to his cause. In the meantime, Floki will wander the lands, trying his best to make friends, coin, and adventure through it all. He knows that it may be a long journey, but nothing will stop him from asserting his claim, and punishing Euron for his atrocity.

You do realise this only goes up to the end of season 3 of the show, right? Your backstory can't include events after the Red Wedding, not really.

And a Feast for Crows goes much past season 3. This is up to the Red Wedding and no further.

Still my fault it is not moving very fast. Apologies, friends. I'll get in the kid in bed and then post tonight. As in, like, an hour. :)
