Heh.... try fighting a legendary dragon with just damaging shouts like I have.... true battle of the tongues there....

THAT SOUNDS EPIC
Believe me it was, Runic v Legendary dragon battle of the thuum. He used Cyclone, unrelenting force, fire & frost breath, animal allegiance, marked for death, and become ethereal. The battle started at dawn by Riftens lake, it ended by Windhelm at 11:47pm in game.

I'm helping. Mostly.
Two Schools of Magic max, and mastering only one tree between Enchanting/Smithing/Alchemy.

I play on master. No exploits or cheats. Dead is dead. Use only a bow and sword. Current character does not make potions. Has no follower during Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild or Companion Quests.

1: Do not skip dialogues. Trying to get the feel of everyone.
2. READ. EVERY. BOOK/SCROLLS/LETTERS. Argh.
3. If I have to swim, I make it a point to take off all armor/clothing. And no, I have no nude mod. :)
4. If guards arrest me, I bribe them.
5. Every quest, I go to an inn and rest for 8 hours. If I'm within said quest, I get 1 hour rest at the very least- usually after a big fight.
6. I'll look for a wife once I'm LvL 50 and has tons of gold. BTW, my character is a Female Breton. :D

That's all I have so far when it comes my RPG self-imposed restrictions. 1-5 has so far been followed faithfully though to be honest, I intend to make a new character with better skill allocation.

I tend to vary my RP rules for different characters. Experiment and the like. List below:

  • Eat and sleep regularly. Constant. I later installed the realistic needs mod to enforce this.
  • You must provide all housecarls, servants, animals and children in your care with three meals a day, or a fortnightly salary. This one is also pretty constant.
  • No fast travel ever. Another constant. I love random encounters too much.
  • I vary my death rules. Sometimes I play permadeath, sometimes I force the character to spend money and time lazing around the house without using the wait function because they need to heal from their terrible injury, sometimes death has no consequence. It depends on how I feel. My current character
  • Lately I've been playing characters who have to pick three to four skill trees and may only ever put perks in those skill trees, including the useless perks. No scattering your perks over several trees to get several useful ones. All or nothing. I figure most people are brilliantly talented at some things, but can only be moderately talented in others. I'm going to repealing this ban for my current character in the light of Legendary Patch 1.9, but she has to work for it. She's only allowed to Legendary Alchemy, Smithing and Enchanting. Lots of money and running around Skyrim is required training those.
  • I also don't use glitches, and I don't like grinding skills which aren't crafting outside of combat or need. No using detect life or muffle in the middle of cities purely for the purpose of grinding.
  • I don't loot things from burial urns either. It's too disrespectful.
  • Sometimes I use the wait function when crafting or trainers so making an item or learning something takes actual time, but it depends on the character. I don't always follow that one.
  • My current character is trying to be a good mother and make sure she spends time with her kids each day. She rarely sleeps outside of her home. Even if she is leaving early morning and coming back late at night, she actively tries not to completely neglect her kids. Forcing yourself to sleep in the same place every night certainly is a different experience from taking as long as you damn well please to do quests.

Such epic Ideas I will try some of these ideas

The only rule I use is no exploits or cheats. Having a sword that can do 9000 damage or getting my level over 100 is a no go for me. I get no satisfaction at all from being a zero magicka cost spell-spammer or a warrior that can one hit dragons. It's a lame ass borefest and people who play like that might as well just turn on fluffing god mode and get it over with already.

I can imagine it being fun for maybe 2-3 minutes but it would get boring fast. And it's just not honorable to do. The game should present a challenge. That's exactly why I play Skyrim on Master difficulty.

Honor? Hah! I pity you, mortal.

These are the rules Sahdira must follow:
  • First of all, Sahdira must always act as herself. Khajiit feels it is very sad that some people have no morals and do whatever they please. This is not true of Sahdira. She is never evil. However, she may not always be good. Do not tell this to grandmother or Sahdira will get smacked.
  • Grandmother taught Sahdira the things you cherish most are the ones you make yourself. So she makes as much as she can from scratch.
  • All travel shall be by foot, horse or carriage. There are some who can simply wish they are in a certain place and be there. Sahdira wishes she knew such bizarre magic.
  • Sahdira eats two meal a day, three if the day has been very tiring. And she cannot function without a good night's sleep.
  • Sahdira cannot abide wet clothing. She doesn't even know how others can swim in armor. So heavy, it is! So if she must travel through water she takes it off.
  • She has seen Nords go with little clothing in snowstorms, but this is not very comfortable to this humble Khajiit. In the snow Sahdira wears fur, or at very least a thick robe.
  • Khajiit wonders how others drink more than one potion at a time. Do they have many mouths? Sahdira is not skilled enough to drink more than one potion at a time, so she only does so.
  • If Sadhira can improve her skill in alchemy she always does. She is, after all, an alchemist by trade.
  • Sahdira thinks companions are more likely to help if they are paid. Is this not true for us all? So she always shares the profit.
  • Sahdira's fellow Khajiit get first pick of the treasure she is to sell.
  • Never touch skooma, not even to sell it. It is evil. Sahdira will not aid these addicts. The sugar is a different story. It is a gift from the moon. The Imperials will never take it from us.
  • It is a kindness to give beggars gold. When Sahdira first came to Skyrim she had nothing. This was very sad. Now she has so much and they want so little. So she always gives money to those who have none. That included the priests. Sahdira always leaves some kind of payment for blessings.

You've given me a lot of good ideas.

These are things my nord warrior does:

-No looting burial urns. They belong to the ancestors.
-My nord is superstitiuous, so he won't use magic items (really wish you could name items without enchanting)
-Try to keep a weapon quite long, so it becomes "his"
-Can't carry more than half the carry weight. This makes gold more sparse.

Oh, how could Sahdira forget another rule? She does not change her clothes in public. Such a thing is indecent.
