Oh and if you want to talk about racism... Explain to me this. If the Empire was so race friendly... how come no other race but Imperial and Nord was ever titled as Emperor/Empress? Explain that to me.
There have been Breton, Nord & Imperial Emperors, also a Dark Elf Empress. An Altmer ruled over the Empire during and after the Oblivion Crisis, there have been Argonian Elder Council members, Orc nobles within the Empire etc.
Jon you damn traitor you! How can you talk down to High King Ulfric Stormcloak! SHAME ON YOU!
Just remember that it was the Imperial Legion that was wanting to do some head chopping on you, not Ulfric Stormcloak and his Army. Just remember how your name wasn't on the list, and they still didn't care. Ulfric Stormcloak is not a murderer. Don't give in to their Imperial propaganda.
What is wrong with Nords ruling their own country?
Argonian rules the Black marsh
Bosmer rules Valenwood
Breton rles High Rock
Imperial rules Cyrodiil
Khajiit rules Elsweyr
Orc rules Orsinium
Dunmer use to rule Morrowind until the volcanic eruption.
And not but least Summerset isle is ruled by the Aldmeri Dominion aka the Altmer race.
So why do people complain so much that the Nords want to rule the country that they successfully won many centuries ago? Why are people so appose of Skyrim being an independent state? Hammerfell did, so why can't Skyrim? Is it because they don't want to see their precious Empire go down the toilet? Like it is already.
The Empire can't even protect their own damn country against the Dominion without signing peoples freedom of religion away to the elves.
Nords do rule Skyrim, the last High King was Nord, the High King before him was Nord and more than likely the High King before him.
The Empire is High Rock, it is Skyrim and it is Cyrodiil and also probably Orsinium since many Orcs join the Ruby Legions.
Hammerfell went independent as one nation. Stormcloaks aren't even the majority in Skyrim. Cyrodiil is just the seat of the Empire, the Empire itself is more than one 'country' also since the Aldmeri Dominion suffered a major defeat resulting in their destruction in their main army plus all their other extra forces they sent in on a gamble, they couldn't even reinforce their soldiers during the war in Hammerfell years later.
In 4E 174, the Thalmor leadership committed all available forces to the campaign in Cyrodiil, gambling on a decisive victory to end the war once and for all.
In the end, the main Aldmeri army in Cyrodiil was completely destroyed. The Emperor's decision to withdraw from the Imperial City in 4E 174 was bloodily vindicated.
Lord Naarifin was kept alive for thirty-three days, hanging from the White-Gold tower. It is not recorded where his body was buried, if it was buried at all.
The Empire barely had enough soldiers to effectively protect the lands of the Empire during peace time. So the thought of continuing war is idiotic and lacks any common sense. Thousands of innocents shouldn't suffer so a few grumpy old Nords who sit in a Tavern all day can thump their chests going "Good defeat it was" while the Dominion simply strolls in slowly without much resistance.
The Empire never enforced the Talos ban, many Nords didn't even give a crap until Ulfric made a big fuss about it. Like a child demanding something and when not getting attention he acts up, just like he did during the Markarth Incident and during the killing of High King Torygg. Wasn't until Ulfric's crap did the ban start getting enforced. There are eight other Gods in the religion, why aren't you shouting about them, some more important than Talos.
"We didn't pay much attention to it when I was a boy - everyone still had their little shrine to Talos. But then Ulfric and his "Sons of Skyrim" started agitating about it, and sure enough the Emperor had to crack down."
"Ulfric founded the Stormcloaks years ago, as a sort of private army to advance his ambitions. He's always used the ban on the worship of Talos to stir people up against the Empire. He never succeeded in getting much support..."
Also killing innocents to get what you want is hardly honorable.
With chaos running through the streets of Markarth and the reports of deaths rising every day, the Empire had no choice but to grant Ulfric and his men their worship.
Many Nords don't even worship the Nine Divines, considering them imposter Gods. Technically you and the rest of the Stormcloaks aren't even "True Nords" you're basically an "Imperialised Nord" when it comes to religion, forsaking Nordic Gods for an Aldmeri pantheon with very watered down Nordic Gods. Why do you think the Thalmor say "
It's a religious matter. The Thalmor do not recognize Talos as a god. He was only a man, and does not deserve to a place in our pantheon."
You're messing with
their religion. Besides, the Nords forbid the people of the Reach freedom of worship so don't cry victim.
Tiber Septim / Talos wasn't even a good man, they make him out like such the hero, but if you read up on him you see past the propaganda of the
Imperial Cult. Or are you such a worthy servant of the words of the Imperial Cult and their religion that you can't even see what things he did. He conquered the lands, brought armies into places that never threatened him, he took prisoners of war as slaves and sold them.
