    faelunae

    warrior princess
Looking back over the rock she hid behind, Ardenelle saw the armored warrior on one side and the dragon on the other. Both were prepared to fight to the death it seemed, neither giving up ground or showing any signs of backing down. Was this person really capable of fighting such a beast? Or was he a fool? She couldn't just watch the dragon destroy another warrior, after seeing her own companions being torn to shreds.

There wasn't much she could do though, her arrows were but small pricks to the scaled dragons. Her sword was but a weak bit of steel to them as well, unless struck against their stomach side. Her weapons were somewhat useless, she needed magic and she knew it. That could come later, for now the only help she could provide was that of being a distraction.

She ran out from the cover of the rocks and toward the dragon, intending to make things if only slightly more difficult for such a powerful thing. She screamed a war cry, firing arrows as she went forth into the dragon's scales.

    The guy with the axe
Skarin rolled his shoulders as he came down from where he had pushed the boulder.
"That worked too well, Well done." complimented his new imperial comrade, to which he grinned coyly. "Yes, we killed a dragon with a rock; Worthy of song." he thudded his fist against his chest.

He hoisted his weapons and moved alongside Dalious, ready to charge for their last foe. Hopefully it would be their last for the day.

He looked ahead, the first thing he noticed once the dragon was in sight was what the young Nord considered a roar of a shield maiden, a war cry that left his inner warrior roused as he joined in the call of battle with his own ear splitting howl.

Dalious walked over the hill and, from a distance, could see the last dragon screaming upon a frozen field. There was an unknown other, garbed in armor from head to toe, and Ardenelle was nearest them firing arrows at the creature. It was not something seen everyday. Dalious and the khajiits went forward with their new Nord friend, who could rival the dragon itself in voice and power.

((sorry short work's been killing me))

    DRAGON RIDERS

As the dragon fell by the mysterious knight, along with Ardenelle's help, Dalious and the others joined them upon the sleek ice. Their meeting would be cut short though as more dragons rose and flew over the mountain side, five by the count, and came toward the company.

"More come!" one of the khajiit's voiced.

    "Prepare!" Dalious yelled.

It would seem to be a never ending fight and would be the death of them all, but something was different about these dragons. They came to the icy grounds and halted a ways from the group, and did not attack.

"Hail!" came a booming voice from the closest dragon. He was brown in color and his scales pointed. "Hail Dragon Slayers, we come in peace."

Dalious rose an eyebrow, cautious of these beasts. "Speak then, what would you have of us?"

"We are brought here by the mind of the mages within the college, they speak that true dragon slayers have finally come, not since the days of the dragonborn have we seen such," spoke the dragon. His voice was low yet distinct, and he spoke clear as the open sky. "I am Paarthurnax, Lord of the noble dragons. Here is Odahviing, and Bereling, Hovcast, and Serenian. We side with you in these matters these days."

"And what side do you speak of?"

"The side of what is right," answered Paarthurnax. "The dragon's you face are led by Glaurung the wicked, who claims to destroy these lands in the name of Alduin. These wicked dragons work not alone though, they have allied themselves with the Thalmor and the Imperials to claim the world once again as their own."

"The Imperials? Thalmor? They were defeated in the last war of the scrolls, I witnessed Acrel fall before my very eyes," said Dalious.

"Defeated? Yes, destroyed? No," continued the dragon. "They have been in hiding since the war of the condemned, as we dragons call it, and now have reason to be active again. Though they fight without emperor or leader, Glaurung is their master now. He must be destroyed, and all who align with him. To do so is a seemingly impossible task, but we are here to help you with this quest. They have their dragon riders that wreak havoc on all, now you have yours. Glaurung is well protected though, and is himself a great threat, riding in blindly will surely be our end. Rest in the halls of the college with the mages guidance, and we shall return in the morning. Tomorrow we go to war."

The dragons then flapped their wings and flew off as quickly as they rode in.

"To the college then," Dalious said. It would not only give them rest, but let them get to know one another a bit better as well as possibly come up with a plan.
