Well after a lot of good battles and adventures, and many kills under its belt, I felt like it was time to retire my trusty weapon: Wuuthrad. I didn't see it coming but it ended up being pretty emotional for me. I really did not want to stop using it, but the lust for a more powerful weapon was to strong. I wasn't really sure what to do about it so I ended up doing a ceremony at the skyforge and then mounted it in my armory where I go and pray at it every time I enter the home.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has a weapon they get attached to like this.

By Ysmir you're going to FREEZE to death!
To be honest, Wuuthrad is pretty much useless

Windshear to the end. I like it so much, just the thought of not doing the Dark Brotherhood questline makes me feel off.

I would have joined you in your ceremony but I don’t like two handed weapons at all ... Nittingale blade or the dawnbreaker ... or my own dagger enchanted with absorb life + chaos ... :bluedragon:

I find that anytime I get a new piece of weaponry that has a cool name and higher damage rate than the previous one, I move on, but it takes time. It's a bit ridiculous how attached I get to a piece. Sometimes, I don't realize I have something better until days later when I finally purge the inventory. There is a soft spot in my heart for the Mace of Molag Bal. We had some good times. The power I felt coursing through my veins! The smashing of the mace against the flesh of an enemy! My first taste of real power! BWA HAHA!

Yup.

My favourite weapons are Staffs, i dont rest until i get my hands on one or more with a new build, hate getting rid of a trusty staff and moving on but such is the price of death and survival, and staffs are more powerful than you think if used correctly. But if its melee weapons i love Dawnbreaker, not so much the damage but it looks so cool and the effect when it goes off is one of the best (graphically) in the game, ,

But as for a ceremony, nah just chop it in for coin and spend on ale and skoomer, ;)

I had a weapon I loved one time. It was a generic daidric(misspelled?) sword, but you know what? It was my sword. Unfortunately a better sword came to me and it's name is dragon(born)bone sword.

That's what I did On my current Warrior with his Ancient Nord Battleaxe haha, Killed alduin with that thing! and now it rests above the Door in Breezhome, Can't let that thing go, as well as the Ancient Nordic Armor I wore.

You should name it the Ancient Nordic Dragonsbane

I had already named it haha I usally keep the names simple on enchanted things like "-Character's Name- Mighty Battleaxe" Or something like that haha.

I usually go with 1H just to wield Dawnbreaker. Like Twiffle said, the graphics when striking Draugr are amazing to see, along with the subsequent chasing of Draugr.... :D

I had Windshear, but never swung it. The low damage listed is what kept me from using it to be honest. Just like Merune's Dagger, I don't use it because the damage output is far lower than my Ebony Sword that I picked up and smithed.

All about personal prefrence, some people prefer Schimmys for looks, and some like the speed of daggers, above the damage, it just depends on the person I guess.

Oh, I agree 100%. I prefer the sword & board technique. Some prefer dual wielding a sword & a dagger, some prefer 2H Battleaxes. Hey, whatever floats your boat...:D
