So i have made like lot of skyrim profiles and decided it is time i made one that didnt include so much violence. So pretty much the way i went about it is... when i first got to the point where i was unbounded by my friend i put on some armor and didnt throw a single attack until i was out and free. Following my friend to riverwood i realised this is a perfect place to start a nice decent non violent life on skyrim. And i was right i started like any good nord i begun to work. Picking up a axe and starting my woodcutter job. Eating as i go at breakfast launch and dinner i was earning about 800 gold coins a day.... not bad for any job.

But a job and a decent steady income meant i had a life to do what i want. So i decided to buy a horse and make myself some decent armor. Buy some decent weapons ( not cheap for my wages ). Then i decided it's time to take a trip around skyrim and see the beautiful land from a plan old adventure type standard. My first city i went to visit was riften.... what a waste of time but the views to their was amazing. Plus i managed to get 20 wolf pelts on the way their and it helped me level smithing witch got me to level 4. I think you guys should try this life style out it's a nice change of pace ^^

There is much to be said for RP'ing (roleplaying) within Skyrim. It's fantastic to allow your character some depth, intricacy and a backstory. Make them a farmer, labourer, guard, smith or logger and suddenly you create a 'person' rather than a pixel pony.

I find it a rather humbling feeling - some would find it odd - but then I am used to such barbs...

To delight in an 'individual' that you have created; to have them embrace another world - indeed a world of escapism, such as Skyrim - is terrific fun.

I LOVE making builds like this. One of my current builds is a Merchant who just sells his wares for a living, paying some hired muscle to clear out a cave or ruin for him so he can take all the many treasures. Then I have one who Lives in Whiterun, and works in Riverwood as a Wood Cutter and he takes on the role of bounty hunter for Whiterun hold and gets rid of the all of the bandits. theres lots I have done haha Game hunters, big game hunters (Mammoths and such), and so many more haha.

I once did a Merchant, based on the Kahjiit caravans, i hired followers to fight and i just basically traded, smithing, alchemy and speech, did some restoration to look after my follower, fed them daily and let them rest daily and after battle, it was trickey but so absorbing too, i deleted him so i think its time to start again, probably with either a Nord or Imperial.
The beauty about the game is that with a little bit of aforethought and imagination you can do really interesting and absorbing builds without all the blood, guts, flame throwers and crime, also the one thing i found is how slowly i levelled too, making it more interesting as my character just seemed to grow at a more normal pace rather than becoming an oober god in a few hours, he just seemed to, well, fit in. IMHO

I remember making a strict alchemist build. It was refreshing to avoid combat and the dangers out in the wild. But when I do need to travel in the open roads, a hired muscle will do. Money was not the problem as alchemy can get one rich fast.

This is what I'm basically doing now. Took up residence in the Alchemist's Shack and there I shall remain for a while. Potion crafting is one of my favorite ventures and like you said, gets you rich quick once you get rolling. Potions and leather crafting is gonna pay my bills for a while.

After reading this, now I own a house in whiterun I may do some labour to earn money! I do like to explore tho. I recall riverwood being quite peaceful?

I wish there was a bit more for the peaceful builds. Maybe something like the Fallout: New Vegas hardcore mode (haven't played NV before, Hardcore mode is the biggest reason I want it). I did my normal, peaceful, citizen life after reading Livin' in Oblivion and the Elder Strolls :) . I still haven't deleted him, as my bro still has my PS3, I might finish him or not. I never understood why the people give you so much money for chopping wood (one day of chopping wood made more money than what I got on actual quest characters).

Harvesting Crops isn't bad on pay either, if you want something even more simple, Setting up in Rorikstead everyonce in a while when the crops are in can get you some decent money.
